Imusic threw in the towel sometime ago, I just move the discussion from local , to saying Kraigg Brathwaite is the best young batsman in the West Indies.
Andrew Mason''s team saw him in action last Sunday, TC1 Maple saw class today.

You know Jason Holder got a better test average than him...right? And a far superior SR at that

Gayle should be the first choice opener, the two guys that should be vying for a spot are not playing any regional cricket, my replacement for Gayle is Simmons.

Emanuel Stewart or Nico

POINT 2015-09-01 00:38:29

This is good for Kraig Brathwaite , however , WE must take into consideration the fact that the standard of Cricket in the Region is
below the Standard of what is required
in International Cricket especially in the longer versions of the game .

The recent Tours by England & Australia
proved this fact . The standard of Cricket in the whole Region must be raised . I have no doubt that in Barbados efforts are being made to do this .

But that is not being done in other parts of the Region , this is why I take umbrage to the Windward Islands
trying to cram 4 innings into 2 days .
My understanding is that the Leeward Islands are not having a Tournament this year . The adage :

"A CHAIN IS AS STRONG AS ITS WEAKEST

LINK ". Comes to mind here .

Cricket in the Region aint going to improve unless the Regional matches
are more competitive , so that ultimately the standard can be raised .
The point I am making is that strenuous efforts must be made to raise the standard of Cricket in the
Region . I do not see that being done; so in essence we are going around in circles ; while the standard remains below par .

I think Kraigg is a very gifted player but as POINT has said the regional standard is poor. He'd be better off trying to play Div 1/Div 2 cricket in England/Aus/South Africa to help test and further his game.
