With six guys players in Sri Lanka, I ask you to select Benn and Tino .
These two bring experience to the bowling department, I leave it up to you to select someone to partner Kemar Brathwaite.

Talk to the rest, cause I liable to pull a Phil...........
In reply to cherri
WHY not Benn and Tino?...this bowling looks so weak it needs their experience and support.
These selectors stupid. I know the Bajan fraternity so well that once the bowling is exposed as weak esp at Kensington against the Jamaicans, THE NEXT MATCH they will reinstate Benn and Tino.
Jamaica however will be at full bowling strength with Miller and Browne and their fast bowlers. The experience Miller will play with these batsmen...it will be a test of the character of
rookie Kemar Brathwaite,
his partner Omar Philips,
Roston Chase,
Carter,
Stoute,
Rampersaud wkpr?
Williams,
Haydn Walsh,
Jerome Jones,
Warrican
and Cummins
I picked Kenroy Williams because of his allround skills but he could be replaced by a genuine batsman like an Anthony Alleyne

I was going to add you to the last post, by I figure you will see the scorecard.
Check my team, he is in the X1.
where the big 500 and 400 scores (in the last trial match) now ? Answer: much improved bowling
Tailenders (9) Benn 40 and (10) Jones 49 together contributing 89 out of a score of 174
177/3 in 35 overs reply with Shane Parris scoring an even hundred....real fast scoring against an attack comprised of Cummins,Benn,Stoute (1wkt),Carter, Jones (1wkt) and Williams. Brooks was the next best score with 33.
Parris has made an even hundred against a Barbados FC attack. He might need another good score to displace a frontline bat.
Rookie youngsters digging in!
they want to make me eat crow heading for a next big score against a Bajan FC attack.
Phillips XI 309 for 4, Aaron Jones 71* , Nurse 16*
In reply to analyst-kid
Phillips XI 401 - 4, Jones 100*, Nurse 71* (tea)
Kid, I am not sure how closly you fo;;ow Barbados cricket, 15 players were contracted by the BCA, these 15 plus the West Indies contracted players,(Kraigg, Jason & Roach), have been working at the Centre for Excellence for some time
With the PCL taking over the contracts, the BCA added an additional ten players in August.
Aaron Jones just scored his 2nd ton in only a few weeks, this is reminds me of Bim's cricket in the 70's.
Phillips XI 479 - 5 J Smith 30*, Nurse 111*
S. Parris 100, A Jones 107, J Stuart 46, S Brooks 33
In reply to openning
to score that off an attack of Benn,Cummins,Stoute,Carter,Williams and Jones is commendable...but I am not surprised...the elevation of Brathwaite,Hope, Holder and Dowrich would inspire younger cricketers.
In reply to analyst-kid
Kraigg, Hope, Dowrich and Roach will be availabe for the first match.
It will be interesting to see if the drafted players are selected ahead of Benn and Tino.
I don't think Jerome Jones is ready for prime time, he bowled nine noballs so far after about eight overs.
In reply to openning
Jones is a pretty good leg spinner also. Saw him bat at under 19.
In reply to seaegg99
This is Aaron Jones you are referring to no doubt. A specialist batsman who can bowl effective leg spin is one for the future.
In reply to analyst-kid
Arron Jones looks a good prospect with batting ability and leg spin. Greaves looks like he earned a call after performing well so far in trials. The bowling is problematic. I want to see more of Dario Seale. DaWayne does not seem the same after the injury a few years ago.
Anyway, I am throwing the youngsters in at the deep end. I hope they can swim.
My XII:
1.Kemar Brathwaite
2.Omar Phillips
3.Shamarh Brooks
4.Jonathan Carter
5.Roston Chase
6.Aaron Jones
7.Ashley Nurse
8.Justin Greaves
9.Mario Rampersaud
10.Tino Best
11.Miguel Cummins
12.Jameel Stuart

We no longer have a Colt team, four players will be returning from SL for the first match, and Carter will be part of the ODI and T20 team.
Do your homework before being a selector.
In reply to openning
Yuh hear wat ah seh!
In reply to openning
Besides we neither got a colt nor a stallion team!
In reply to Outswinger
I hear ya, but how come you have no love for Benn?
You are too young to know about The Barbados Colts teams during the sixties
who is Aaron Jones????
In reply to hawk
A good batsman, he is fun to watch in his mannerism at the crease.
In reply to openning
By the way , I m in BIm, but was too busy to know if there was a trial match
In reply to tc1
Have a Seaegg for me, I've never been there during the season.
That was the second match, the final match should be next week.
In reply to openning
Let's just say I know about the colts, OK? Good.
In reply to openning
OK, I actually like Benny. I was surprised when I ran into him for the first time in person at Grantley Adams. We were on the same flight to the US. Fidel was on that flight too. But I had a conversation with him in the departure lounge. He was a lot more friendly and easy to talk to than I was imagining. He was cool. Fidel though was not. Did not talk to me. He would not know but I like Fidel too. Just wish he could get the ball to cut back from off.
But I want to know about the youngsters. How good are they really? Do we have any diamonds in the rough waiting to unleash? That's why I want this team. I'm hungry to broaden the pool of good players and make the ones that are picked EARN their play or be replaced!
What happened to Jofra Archer? I was watching him. Thought he would be a good alrounder.
In reply to Outswinger
I really don't know, having an Elite and a First Division have diluted the competition
I saw a clip of Shane Parris playing some shots during his century innings in the 2nd trial. He definitely has some shots and can get the ball off the square. I'm not sure of his defence, and stickability against spin. He did stick around long enough to make a hundred. Anyway, interesting. Saw that on the CBC sports news.
All of a sudden, opening batsmen (not yours Openning
) are showing up with runs in aither the trials or the top BCA competitions.
Selectors have choices after Kraigg: Kemar Brathwaite, Omar Phillips, Kyle Corbin, Rashidi Boucher, Shane Moseley, Anthony Alleyne, Shane Parris. That's seven that could be in the conversation, in no particular order.
In reply to openning
It may have.
In reply to Outswinger
What is the local channel in Bim I am here for the past week and have not seen a local tv show all NA news.
The only person I saw playing cricket is my GF nephew , I bowling to him on the patio.
Sad
In reply to tc1
Should be channel 8. Evening news and sports come on around 7 I think, I am not in BIM. Otherwise get it from the CBC website. You can find many on Youtube.
