CRICKETING greats went into meltdown on Saturday over a third umpiring farce that embarrassed officials and angered New Zealand.
After a delay spanning more than five minutes, Nathan Lyon was given not out despite virtually conceding he was guilty of an edge that appeared to clearly show up on his bat.
The stuff up was immediately costly for the Black Caps who would have had Australia 9-118, with only an injured Mitchell Starc to come.
