Russel get more $$$ than he gets in the IPL
In reply to StumpCam
teams gotta careful with the inexperienced aussie in our conditions. Australians usually stand besides the ball, not a tactic that works well on these pitches in the caribbean, hence why most of them struggled in previous CPL editions. Glad zouks took up Mike Hussey, man for all jobs.
In reply to doosra
Warriors loading up with heavy artillery!
There is going to be a lot of Steel shrapnel!
In reply to jen
Point taken! But, its still a good pick up.
In reply to mikesiva
Tridents buy Pooran after picking ABD? In round 4?
Dat pick sound bad.
Barney returns to Amazon W
In reply to nick2020
that's a Pollard pick
Why Warriors bought Jason Mohammed and not Darren Bravo?
I would have gone with Al Hasan over Malik. Malik has been good for the Tridents but Al Hasan, who played for Tridents in the first CPL is more versatile. Malik is such a poor fielder too.
I'm hating this draft Caribbean players not getting enough of the big money.
In reply to doosra
If true I see why they wanted to bar him.
GT looking good. But I say that every year.
Can't wait to sit with my GT people in de Oval again. Hewitt and Inniss stand was a red of Green!

Kieran Powell back to play in the CPL, but not for the West Indies?

In reply to navindesigns

In reply to nick2020

majee dem affi eat a food
halal
In reply to doosra
Lil Bravo is centrally contracted...he can only be picked as a replacement player, paid on a match-by-match basis, because we might be playing Tests against India then.
I'm surprised no one has picked Carlos Brathwaite yet....
even more trini now boy:
Polly, ravi, Pooran, imran khan, akel hosien,
In reply to mikesiva
suh are you saying it's better to be not contracted?
i see man mekking 160k and central contract is how much?
Central contract is $100-140,000...a year!
Round six....$60,000
St Kitts - Jonathan Carter
St Lucia - Andre Fletcher
Jamaica - Lasith Malinga
Trinidad - Kevon Cooper
Guyana - Adam Zampa
Barbados - David Weise
Cooper gets $60,000 for one month's work. Who needs West Indies selection, when you can earn that kind of dough?
In reply to mikesiva

In reply to gvenkat

So the players who werent picked here are they the centrally contracted players? Will they be assigned to random teams?
In reply to Jabari18
nah
the coverage of this draft is not good
In reply to Jabari18
Don't think so......but will check....this place like chaos.......
In reply to defeyeant
I doubt it...their home teams will probably sign them on a match-by-match basis, depending on availability, with the Test series against India expecting to clash with the CPL.
In reply to mikesiva
Are you guys saying dat de WI have a test series while the CPL is going on?
In reply to WestDem
Check the bottom of this thread and the next page
In reply to WestDem
They will be having a tri-series I think between WI-AUS-SA.
In reply to mikesiva
Yep cause i think the games will just be finishing or about finishing when the India series start.
I realise no fixture have been released as yet, as I figure they trying to get timing as right as possible and give most of these guys at least a lil taste of CPL before the tests.
Plus the guys can opt in or out if they like (for the CPL teams) but must play the tests.
Either way cricket should win.
Wey de young developing players. Some u19 players should get a look in
In reply to positiveg
How they going to manage this shit?
Link Text
In reply to gvenkat
I'm not even sure
I know they were ooking at having the CPL push down from late July to August but those the dates for the India to visit (jul - aug)
So is either as soon as tri series done, they try to get the CPL started at get it done within a month so it's either wrapping up when India series start
One ting I know for sure from June to aug gonna be 3 months of non-stock cricket
so we in de caribbean gonna be eating, sleeping shitting cricket.
You gonna be coming through?
In reply to gvenkat
Tri-series finishes on June 24...less than a week will be lost to that.
The big issue is, when will the India Test series be held?
But will cricket be the winner by these clashes? I expect to see some discontented Test players taking to the field....
Round 11...$7,000
St Kitts - JJ Smuts
St Lucia - Keron Cottey
Jamaica - Jonathan Foo
Trinidad - Nikita Miller
Guyana - Assad Fudadin
Barbados - Akeal Hosein
Round 12...$7,000
St Kitts - Devon Thomas
St Lucia - Shane Shillingford
Jamaica - Alex Ross
Trinidad - Jevon Searles
Guyana - Anthony Bramble
Barbados - Imran Khan
In reply to positiveg
I may for the tri-series. Not to see WI, Just to watch ABD.
Round 13...$5,000
St Kitts - Shamarh Brooks
St Lucia - Delorn Johnson
Jamaica - Keswick Williams
Trinidad - William Perkins
Guyana - Paul Wintz
Barbados - Kyle Hope
So Jamaica is the team to beat then...,
Malinga sanga Gayle and Russell
Dis done
Round 14...$5,000
St Kitts - Tino Best
St Lucia - Kyle Mayers
Jamaica - Nkrumah Bonner
Trinidad - Yannick Cariah
Guyana - Steven Jacobs
Barbados - Navin Stewart
Each team also had one U-19 player, and one North American.
In reply to gvenkat

Round 15...$4,000
St Kitts - Jeremiah Louis
St Lucia - Keddy Lesporis
Jamaica - Garey Mathurin
Trinidad - Ramnaresh Sarwan
Guyana - Steven Katwaroo
Barbados - Kyle Corbin
St Kitts - three Trinis, three Bajans, three LIs, two Saffers, one Jamaican, one Aussie, one SL.

tinis and SAfricans
is tanvir worth that much money?
In reply to navindesigns
he's a match winner
he can bowl fast and he can hit it a mile
In reply to navindesigns
Way over rated. Even Pakistan do not have him in their squad.
System is not fair.
What a disparity in pay. From $16000 to $4000.
I think they should have at least have a minimum
of $20,000 for the lowest paid players.
These guys at the bottom needs the money the most.
In reply to doosra
have u seen his CPL stats?
In reply to Ridge
