Some of our selectors are not the brightest

Any Idea which one made those outrageous comments....??

I am assuming it is a current selector and a senior one at that !!??

He didn't say, but I can easily see Butts saying something like this- it was probably before Simmons took over. A good reported would have gotten the answer.

Wtf!? That's an ignorant jackrass who said that. Ravi is solidly built, dazall.

I agree he should name the one, but then again if you don't have it on tape he is going to say he made no such comment.

Rampaul's most recent appearance for the West Indies was in limited overs colours during last September's Sri Lanka tour. But on return from that series, he never played for Trinidad domestically and thus missed out on being present in the victorious T20 WC 2016 winning squad that he usually is part of.

A good reporter would've tried to find out more about why he never played again for Trinidad. Did he make himself available and was not selected?

"At that time (August 2015), I was very interested in playing Test cricket. However, after West Indies aborted the tour in India in 2014, my retainer contract was taken away and I was left out of the 30-man squad for the 50-over World Cup", Rampaul explained.

How does one go from being a dependable opening bowler for a number of years to not being able to make the 30 man squad? Can't really blame any of these players who abandon West Indies when they get treatment like this.

We act like selection is guaranteed irrespective of performances.

If what Ravi is saying is true it is no wonder West Indies cricket is in this abysmal state.

Dave Cameron and Co need to go.
