T&T Biche T20 League

BenGman 2016-05-26 20:10:12

Watching now Live on TV (Flow Cable) on a weeknight (albeit a public holiday night - Corpus Christi) with at least 6 cameras (zoom, focus, ball following, player following), replays from multiple angles, with commentary, large crowd, sponsors and music. This is one of tens of T20 cricket leagues in T&T, not the top level.

This compared to earlier this year watching the PCL with 1 or 2 cameras that were stationary, mostly non existent commentary/crowds, in what was supposed to be the highest level of cricket in the region.

There is no comparison to what the people want, what the sponsors want, and therefore what the players want.

People want to party and be entertained... entertainment is on and off in longer versions of the game...

Need some innovative thinking to provide side entertainment for games... buy a ticket to a test match... watch cricket and ________

Idk maybe have some Mary go round or pin d tail or some rass... Americans call it a traveling circus or state fair.

When you add the top level to that it looks like everybody and their dog is playing T20 in T&T...

No wonder the economy is seeing bad days. Priority peeps priority... smile

Ryan Hurley and Imran Khan are the West Indies/A players names I heard playing for teams last night (although I didn't see from the beginning).

Businesses get tax relief when they sponsor sports. The government sponsors these events through the Ministries of National Security and Sport. I don't mind my tax dollars paying for sports and community events once the community organisation books are open for audits/accountability.

No wonder the economy is seeing bad days. Priority peeps priority...

Sports and community development should always be given priority because gains in this area trickle to others - improved discipline, less healthcare costs, better return on investment in the education system, more small business opportunities at events, etc, plus healthy entertainment for all.
