I don't see many Yardies touting him, but as we all know, sports men and women from rural Jamaica are not viewed in the same light as those from Kingston!

That was my contention until I found out that there is a new senior cup that involve all parishes in JA, unlike previously senior cup was only played in Kingston, so regardless of how talented a rural cricketer is, he would have to play in Kingston to make it on JA team. Fortunately that system has changed somewhat, although the same club cricketing clout still exist.

It also happens to the high school system in Jamaica - you have to go to the ivy league high schs to be viewed as part of the inner crowd, ask Chrissy!

Not unique to Jamaica, I must hasten to add!
