Good list of players to start off the discussion, but are you aware that Polly said he no longer will consider test match cricket?
In reply to Yadi
Johnson must make the team.
In reply to Emir
Wonder about some o these guys.
I'm a massive Pollard fan, and want him in the test side too..but at least lets see him play one FC match first...geeze
In reply to Yadi
How can Pollard play Test Cricket when he doesn't play First Class Cricket?
In reply to kern
Didn't Vishal Singh put up much better numbers?
In reply to Emir
If Pollard is not interested: Vishal Singh , Leon Johnson & Royston Chase are next in line .... based on last years' first class
cricket performances.
In reply to DIEHARD
Just like I went for Evin Lewis because of his demonstrated consistency ...
I would go for Vishal Singh as an option to Jermaine Blackwood.

Has a West Indian selector ever paid attention to performances in the regional competitions? Oh. You are hoping for a change. You are hoping that finally there will be a policy and some method to their madness.

It is to be noted: Jermaine Blackwood has not yet failed us at test cricket.

Blackwood has scored 78 runs in his last 8 test innings...with HS of 28
In reply to Narper
Blackwood dismissed himself 75% of the times
In reply to Yadi
My question is have selectors ever paid attention to stats and performances in regional competitions? And when?
In reply to Narper
This is the reason ... I dropped him from the starting eleven.
In reply to methodic
I recognize that he has hit a bad patch ... in his international career.
In reply to Narper
However, I see folks calling for Shai Hope ....
He has never hit a good patch.
Leon Johnson also hit a similar bad patch ... but I see people promoting him to opener.
I am not Trinidadian .... But Evin Lewis does appear to me to be our best
solution - at this time - to partner the solid Kraigg Brathwaite.
In reply to Yadi
Leon Johnson played a total of four tests and in the 7 innings he scored two fifties and is averaging 39.28....can you now let us know what bad patch you talking about?
His last nine FC scores are...93, 12, 79, 107, 17*, 40, 50, 23, 111*
Pollard cannot even play ODI correctly and allyuh want him in a test series...
Pollard is a swiper - he cannot bat - he should stick to "rubbish" t20 cricket.
Kirk Edwards is a better test batsman than Pollard and Leon Johnson.
In reply to Yadi
Are you aware of lwon johnson, royston chase, vishal singh and shai hope performances in recent 4 day competition
