they've heard the public outcry for an infusion of pace in the form of Alzari Joseph.

I hope Kohli doesn't end his career before it begins. This young man may be the one to revive and resuscitate Waste Indies Cricket.

You see how he hit a much better batsman than Kohli in the face?

He would not be in the playing X1

At least you recognize talent!

Devin 2016-07-27 18:18:59

In reply to deanjones

Yeah, and then DeVilliers hit him for 6 the next delivery.

AB wouldn't have been hit in a Test match. In T20 Cricket, you see a short ball and you make an offer. Test cricket is about being judicious.

Look everyone in WI cricket reads this board

Devin 2016-07-27 18:23:43

Kohli was hit on the helmet by Johnson with the very first delivery he faced down under a couple years ago. He went on to score 115 and 141 in that match.

Kohli wouldn't have been frightened of Holding, Roberts and Croft in their prime, probably would've murdered them. Joseph better be careful, he may be in for a rude awakening.

Devin 2016-07-27 18:34:32

In reply to deanjones

Let's get something straight, there is no batsman in cricket today that is "much better" than Kohli.

Narper 2016-07-27 20:12:18

In reply to Devin

It will be a good duel between the two...Kohli is a masterclass and would most likely tame the young turk...but I am anticipating the duel...a batsman needs to make one mistake and he is back in the pavillion

oldcar 2016-07-27 20:27:16

In reply to Narper

yep its important for the bowler to keep at it.

Don't you think you're taking this Kohli obsession too far?

We all think Kohli is something special, but...

I'm backing Kohli to get his average closer to 47 after this series! And to pass Pujara's.

Why dont u go suck on mediocre Ramdin cool

Devin 2016-07-27 21:38:45

Kohli has a helmet, he would've hooked them into oblivion.

How many times has AB been hit in any form of the game?

kern 2016-07-27 21:59:29

We get excited too quickly by speed.
Does the fast bowler (Not Joseph only) has the brain to take wickets?
We need 10 wickets every cricket match.

Khaga 2016-07-27 22:12:49

In reply to VIX

I am expecting DiM Bravo"s average to dip below 40 so you Trini anti-men have nothing to wank off on..

gvenkat 2016-07-27 22:14:16

In reply to deanjones

AB is not the be all and end all. He is a known choker who is mr.360 when it does not matter. Under pressure he gets out even to Gabriel. So that's not exactly a bench mark.. Let this guy bowl to Kohli big grin

Khaga 2016-07-27 22:18:44

Why you discussing cricket with that Black or White joker? lol

rillo 2016-07-27 22:43:33

In reply to Devin

The best batsmen of the era from Australia to India was afraid of OUR pace quartet.
There was also the matter of Lille and Thompson.

Kohli would not have had so much armory.
No helment
No chest pad.
Only batting pad and box.

Kohli would have made runs sure but he would not be as prolific as today.
He would have been given special attention .

Devin 2016-07-27 23:31:56

In reply to deanjones

How the fu#k would I know? He played a stupid shot to a bouncer that he should've left alone. Had he ducked, nothing would've been made of it.

There's nothing impressive about a bowler hitting a batsman who is hit playing the hook shot. That's an error in judgement by the batsman.

Kohli is way above Bravo in the pretty good list, no comparison. I'm supporting Kohli to surpass Pujara and get his average closer to the mediocre AD Matthews'

In reply to VIX... but I see somewhere on another thread that his average is 50odd.

His average of 50.83 is higher than the 19 players ahead of him

why would the selectors read this MB, 90% of the posters have a 2nd grade knowledge and understanding of cricket, 95 % never even played gully cricket.

carefully pruned and extrapolated stats.
Kohli like Bravo is struggling to average 50 in real life

edit:
Look at the post below for the extrapolated stats. Soon we might see some with Ranji trophy included, as well as ODI warmup matches, and why not include age group stats to the mix big grin
