When Bim is strong, West Indies cricket is strong.
It was nver how many Barbadian are on the team, but the domination of Barbados players at the regional level.
I blame T&T, Jamaica and Guyana, for not bringing its dominance to the International stage.

lol lol

Well that's because he never even went behind catches that Jacobs or Murray would have made routine.

Was he around when Ganga's T&T won every series/
Was he around when Fatberg was the greatest captain, out of the region?
Was he around when Shiv and Sarwan were included among the greatest Guyanese to play international cricket?
Stick to the scrip bro, it is not how many Bajans on the team, it was always the dominance of Barbados winning regionals, and having world class cricketers

Courtney Brung's Barbados team won 5 consecutive regional 4 day titles dude.

You quick to talk bout Lambert.....not a peep bout Courtney "we doh play draw cricket" Brung.

Bim players nuh dominate regional level then?

natty_forever 2016-09-27 18:20:43

In reply to openning... the thing is you all aren't dominant. that's the problem.

Browne as captain of Barbados in 04, played a role along with fellow bajan Bradshaw in winning a World Class tournament.

I beg to differ

In the LAST PCL.....who are the top 3 in the batting averages?

How many bajans in the top 12 batting averages in the PCL?

How many bajans in the TOP 13 MOST WICKETS IN THE PCL?

Barbados finished 2nd in the tournament

Their players along with the Guyanese are the dominant players in the region.

Barbados has 6 players in the ODI squad and 8 players in the test squad. The current head coach is bajan. The bowling coach is bajan. The manager is bajan. The chief of selectors is bajan.

How much more dominant you need Barbados to be?

How much stronger Bim cricket need to be?

... with how many Bajans?

My dominant is BIM of old, not being the best of a sorry lot.

analyst-kid 2016-09-28 09:54:30

In reply to natty_forever

But how many Bajans in this T20 team? Only one?

The only players Barbados could argue for a place here is Dwayne Smith And Jonathan Carter.

Smith with his experience might have been useful but Smith is also unpredictable at times but he did lead the Guyanese franchaise team in the CT20 with the bat.

Quantity is not Quality, one man made more runs that all of them together! Can't seem to figure out the selectors!

natty_forever 2016-09-28 11:04:07

In reply to analyst-kid... so is it fact or fiction? Back in the glory days it would seem so ... is that true today?

analyst-kid 2016-09-28 15:30:30

In reply to natty_forever

Historically this theory does not apply to newer formats of cricket...Barbados are conversative and traditionalist...their selectors and players take long to adjust to newer formats...it was so in ODIs and now T20s

So this theory applies to Test cricket and One day cricket.

TheTrail 2016-09-28 18:38:55

Tits tek over in that series...6 - 5 - 4 Tits and Pak still brown wash WIndies backside.

Tomorrow I will be watching some real professional ODI cricket between Australia and South Africa.

Trinis RULE T20 cricket dude from since Stanford days to now. Coincidence that any international success WI has had in the past decade is when there are 4 or more Trinis in the starting XI of any WI T20 team?
