for our first team ( replacing WARRICAN, SAMUELS and maybe JOHNSON).. we could promote Shai Hope as an opener.

SAMI ASLAM is only 20 and he is opening, played under19 also like Hetmyer..
why do we not believe in the talented youths over these underperforming skunts who have had many years of test experience to prove their worth
In reply to allan
He's also played 34FC matches, with 7 centuries, and 7 fifties.
Hetmeyer has played 9..with 1 century and 1 fifty..thats why.
Did you really need someone to explain that to you?
Samuels test average is currently greater than Hetmeyer's FC average
In reply to allan
How do you compare uncomparables? Has the WI cricket not dashed enough players trying to force ripe with the same reason?
The one you try to forceripe today is one who will be called the so called under performing senior in 3 years
In reply to allan
Not sure if they is ready or not
In reply to allan
Not sure if they is but sure you is not!
thanks for the grammar checkers..
but lets stick to the point.. how many times have samuels disappointed us.. we needed him in the 4th innings and he failed badly..
Singh or Hetmyer I am sure are better long term prospects than Johnsona nd Samuels
In reply to allan...
Cornwall is being prepared for bigger things as we speak. No pun intended either.

Cornwall is definitely next in line based on this A-team tour, his FC record, and his potential with the bat.
In reply to Judgement
Cornwall is already a big thing bro.....
In reply to DIEHARD
And Singh isn't? De man averaged over 50+ for d past two first class season.. and is currently d best batsman WI batsman on tour..
He's already 27.. yuh gonna wait till he's 40 to give him ah chance?
Singh will do well to emulate Deo and earn very decent paydays carrying towels.

I was only responding to that posters comment re Cornwall.
Singh is definitely next in line as well.
But Johnson still has not gotten the fair run he's earned. Don't forget that.
The lead poster is definitely rushing Hetmeyer though.
dont rush hetymyer... looks a great prospect but if he is good enough his weight of runs will get him in the team soon enough.
In reply to DIEHARD
Hety will get there in time.. need to play couple season first class cricket..
Another talented youngster who need ah run in first class cricket is Shamar Springer.. hopefully Barbados or CCC give him ah run..
"A drowning man clutches at a straw" ... we need to be patient at this time. Please!

Vishaul is coming through a path which is perfect. You need to score and command your place instead of being selected on hope.
Today vishaul's selection would be supported by most just because of the weight of his runs. That is the best way to be seleted

Ditto

Agreed, maybe same for Cornwall too, so at least these guys know that it was their runs/wickets that's caused them to be there and they know what they have to do to stay there.
Right now I think we can say we have decent prospect coming through the line, not in all areas but some.
Need to learn to manage them well through the process
Yes
In reply to Runs
This is probably one the most sensible discussion on a thread. These guys are in line to be part of bigger things to come.
