As I was leaving the super market, a guy from Cuba who just landed in Costa Rica was begging me to give him money or buy him food. He showed me his passport and we got talking a bit.
Said he was glad Castro was gone, they can't get basic stuff there. Everything is rationed, including basic stuff like rice and toilet paper.
He was one a of the few of the Cubans out of the 9000 who were stuck at the Nicaraguan border who got into CR.
I wonder why all these pro Castro supporters on here who live overseas didn't migrate to Cuba instead to where there at now.
It's different to big up Castro when you don't live in Cuba, but go live there and then come back and chat.

The difference is like day and night, look at North vs South Korea, one is in the top 20 economies of the World, the other cannot feed its people.
Communism while sounding good on paper fails on this principle - Man is Selfish

Man's selfishness accounts for super greed in the capitalist system as well. Wall st vs main st.
Communist Countries will never be on the cutting edge of technology, there is no incentive to do it.

In reply to Drapsey
Probably. I'm sure the Kaspersky people are not splitting their rubles evenly with the Russian Government.
In reply to deanjones
You are on point.
The best mix is a common balance between Capitalism and Socialism. No country is truly one or the other.

Raul is a reformer, he will bring changes now that Fidel is out of the way.

Castro did a lot of exporting, he exported his 'revolution' on foreign soils where a lot of his people's bones still lay. He all to eager to pack them in boats and send them off to wherever they landed. Fewer mouths to feed back home.
