All Time Bim XI
Apart from Sobers' "jack off all trades" spin bowling, there is no quality spinner. They probably don't need any!
The only change is let Clyde Walcott Wicketkeep and Seymour Nurse for David Murray.
In reply to Khaga
Who needs spinners, when you have fast bowling such as that, remember 89 all out
In reply to openning
You have to get Seymour in, typical Blues
In reply to tc1
David was a buddy, the last cricket match I played in Bim was with David, I kept wickets and he bowl

I'm disappointed that for this 50th Anniversary celebrations BIM didn't arrange a match against a World XI like they did for the original independence celebrations.
After all, BIM makes up some 64% of the current WI team and thereby could do themselves and us very proud.

Yuh wicked sod..daz identical to VOR Revos v Cricinfo Bim X1...ambulance gwine be on standby fe Revos!!!
The Second Eleven would be more interesting:
Desmond Haynes
Alvin Greenidge/ Sherwin Campbell
Carlisle Best
Peter Lashley
Collis King
David Murray
David Holford
Keith Boyce
Vanburn Holder/Franklyn Stephenson/Hartley Alleyne/Fidel Edwards
Charlie Griffith
Wayne Daniel
this is a real tough one...would Ryan Hinds pip out Kingdom to form a spin duo with Holford or should Howard be included...what about Brancker,Bynoe and Emmerson Trotman....was Geoffrey Greenidge a better opener than Alvin and Campbell?...or should Bessie open with Haynes?
In fact given his current record Kraigg should open with Dessie!
In reply to analyst-kid
You are making a joke of the last 50 years
Kraigg is like a young mango on the tree.
In reply to analyst-kid
Based on 1 st Cl average Bynoe should open with 41 being higher than others in the 2nd team.
Ryan hinds must get a pick as he has an excellent batting and bowling average and lends variety as a Leftie.
Pedro should be included as his Leftie bowling adds to the arsenal.Ezra has a slightly better bowling average.
Stephenson instead of Vannie as he is a better batsman and very complicated bowler.

Every time I watch local cricket in Barbados, I am appalled by the standard of players, playing Elite division cricket.
Youngsters don't have to work to make a team, and if you are an average player, you can make that team from 19-40 years.
Every area seem to think having an Elite or 1st Division team in their district/Parish is good for cricket.
I was teased at UWEE watch a game with Ryan Hinds and Dwayne Smith, playing for Barbados against CCC, both players were auditioning for the CPL or a fete match.
After letting the students know, it was a four day game, they told me a batsman should either hit the ball or get out.
Both guys did not last long at the wicket.
This October I watched Ashley Nurse, after getting out LBW, he cussed the Umpire, the small group that was at the game, told me he is a West Indian and is allowed to do that.
In reply to Khaga
Good observation ... I will slot in Benny to fill that spin option
In reply to Kay
Benn could come close to Holford in bowling, batting and level-headedness?

Kraigg is like a young mago on the tree.
Did you leave off a 'n' or a 't'?
I even question the utility of Elite, 1st Division and Second... Elite and 1st seem redundant - it's not to say we have THAT many (gosh, if any) "Elite" players.
What is an "Elite Division" cricketer?
Diluted leagues.
In reply to openning
I am afraid that those behavior not limited to Barbados alone
In reply to cricketmygame
This is indeed an awesome cricket eleven. It would take a world class effort by any team to compete with that team. Yet there are so many other Bajan cricketers over the years that could play and not weaken the team

I agree with moving Clyde to WK and dropping Murray. But for my money, though I love Seymour's batting, for balance I'd include Holford. That move provides a leg-break and googly bowler to partner Sobers bowling Chinamen and googlies. Dessie has to remain at 12th man.
In reply to analyst-kid
Hmmm. Based on my first 11. I cannot use Dessie here because he is the 12th man on the 1st team so my 2nd 11:
Cammie Smith
Carlisle Best
Peter Lashley
Seymour Nurse
Collis King
Franklyn Stephenson
David Murray
Keith Boyce
Winston Reid
Wayne Daniel
Sylvester Clarke
Ryan Hinds 12th man.
Wayne Daniel

Sobers will be used as the spinner, no need for Holford, I enjoyed watching Seymoure, he will make any Barbados team.
In reply to openning
With you on that. Seymour was a master
