In reply to nick2020
Good on you but somehow I don't trust your intention ... looks like you looking fuh anodda fight!
In reply to nick2020
You and I need to have a cricket discussion..this dumb numbers aren't cutting it..
In reply to Khaga
You talking fantasy league numbers or real cricket?
In reply to nick2020
Can you you believe Kohli scored three double centuries over the course of 5 months and 11 matches, all of which resulted in victories, and this man rates his 141 in Adelaide in a losing cause as his best knock?
Something isn't right with this lad.

Also, can you believe that at the start of the year, Root was averaging almost 11 more runs per innings than Kohli, and now the difference is down to just two?
Btw what is your favourite Joe Root innings?
In reply to nick2020
I'm not done yet. Can you believe that much much earlier in the year, I predicted Kohli would be the cricketer of the year and that this would be a historic season for him?
Can you believe his Test average was 44.02 at the start of the year and I predicted that he'd end the year with an average of 50 odd? His average is currently 50.53.
Can you believe that while you were poking fun at Kohli for not scoring a double century, I told you he'd rectify that against the Waste Indies, and without wasting any time, he scored a double century in his first knock of the tour?
Nick2020, to get back to my remark about this being a historic season for Kohli:
2016:
ODI - 10 innings, 3 100's, 4 50's, 739 runs, 92.38 average.
T20 - 13 innings, 7 50's, 642 runs, 107 average.
Test - 17 inings, 4 100's(three double centuries), 2 50's, 1200 runs, 80 average.
I won't include his record shattering IPL season in which he scored the most runs in a single edition, and the most centuries(4), no other batsman has scored more than two tons in an IPL season.
In reply to Khaga
Well I am glad he got to 50 though.
In reply to Devin
You did and barring a poor final test you will not be held to your statement earlier.
In reply to nick2020
Name your favorite innings of Smith,Root and Williamson and discuss their significance..
In reply to nick2020
You seem melancholy and indifferent. Regardless of what his average is at the end of the year, this has been one of the all time great seasons for a batsman across all formats.
I think Kohli's performances will inspire the big three(Root, Smith, and Williamson). I expect a number of special performances from those lads next year. ABD will be back as well. And then you have David Warner and Quinton De Kock.
Btw he is up to #2 in the world in the Test rankings. A few weeks ago he was at 14.
In reply to Devin
He is compiling a list of his favorite innings of Root,Smith and Williamson across all formats..that essay is coming soon..he is no longer interested in numbers..
In reply to Khaga
This is pleasing to hear. I'm not sure he ever wrote about his favourite knock from BCL though. Of course he may have had difficulty choosing just one.
In reply to Khaga
An outstanding year for the anointed one by any yardstick
In reply to Devin
Question:
If it was unimportant when he was ranked #14 why would it be important now that he is ranked #2?
In reply to nick2020
Because my point was always that foresight and eyesight told me how good Kohli is, and will be.
As it has for many former cricketers. That's probably what prompted BCL in calling Kohli the best across all formats, eventhough at the time Root and Smith had far superior Test numbers.
It's the same way you all love to proclaim and anoint after watching one knock from a young West Indian. The difference is that Kohli has pedigree and precedent.
In reply to nick2020
Are you still working on your assignment?
In reply to Khaga
You know how much times you disappear on my questions now you forcing wuk done someone?
You gotta be kidding.
In reply to Devin
Talk about a dodgy response.
If it did not matter than Kohli was ranked what he was then it does not matter what is ranking is now. Or it only matter when it agree?
In reply to nick2020
Obviously there is more credibility when the stats back up the talent, no?
Aren't you tired of being beaten to a pulp by me?
In reply to Devin
Powen thinks he is tall.
It is a great source of comfort to escape reality.
In reply to nick2020
Your favorite innings of Smith,Root and Williamson across all formats?
In reply to nick2020
1 per format will be fine..9 innings..2 sentences each..18 sentences..you can do it!

Here is your chance to join the big league of aficionados..step up
In reply to Khaga
You know you post a lot like Devin. If I was a betting man...
One knock left to finish out the season. I am not a math major but what is his average now?
In reply to nick2020
50.10
He won't be batting again.
You're a colossal loser. You can't concede defeat, and in your head you don't really rate Kohli. I think deep down inside, you still think Bravo is the better batsman.
If/when Kohli's average dips below 50, then what?
In reply to Devin
Then your prediction was right. About his average going to the 50 club. If it dips below 50 this year then let bygones be bygones.
Now as to me thinking Bravo is a better Batsman this sounds like a straw man.
Luckily though you don't get too caught up with this 50 average nonsense. Well, not when it comes to Kohli.
In reply to nick2020
Enough about Kohli, have you been following our Titans?
In reply to Devin
Yes.
Oh well.
Congrats on Kohli finishing out the year on a 50 average. I can no longer make fun of him for lack of a double or a 40s average.
