Please......you talking factual or you just want to be in the argument?.......even if he is a better coach, this crowd will pick his water worse than a duck.............we had home grown variety coaches and the establishment took it for granted that because they are home grown them could interfere, we all saw how that worked out, I believe that we need to give Law a chance, he could declare Martial Law, or do like the Establishment and be a Law unto himself, we wait with bated breath..........

Exchange 'we' for 'some' and I'll Endorse!

Law seems a man built in the Dennis Waight mode and we all know where that led us. Give him a chance he must be a Jimmy Adams appointment and I do back Jimmy's judgement above many others.

Springer can count himself unlucky, wasn't he coach when the West Indies won a test in South Africa and also in UAE against Pakistan?

Hopefully he gets kept on as assistant coach or some role.

Was also assistant coach to Logie when they won the Champions Trophy in 2004. Lara spoke highly of him

Definitely a guy worth keeping around considering his experience in coaching and also his knowledge of different conditions, current player base etc.

The team lost 9 of 10 games in UAE against Pakistan. Was Springer absent then?

cricketmygame 2016-12-13 13:44:03

Appointed hours before the flight left the Caribbean, what did you expect?

imusic 2016-12-13 16:01:57

In reply to WICFan

Team lost 4 of 5 matches against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in Zimbabwe, failing to qualify for the final

Springer was appointed hours before the flight left then too?

His record thus far as WI head coach

Played - 14
Won - 2
Lost - 12

Win % - 14%
Loss % - 86%

What series were you watching???

They played 4, won 1, tied 1, lost 2.

OK. So they won 1 Lost 2. To Zimbabwe and a virtual Sri Lanka U19 squad and failed to make the final.

You telling me this was a full strength West Indies ODI Side???

Didn't Springer & Williams coach the side to a ODI Series win away to Zimbabwe in 2007 or 2008 as well?

Fact is that Springer was Coach, whether by fluke or whatever, for the last two times the Windies won a test away from home against higher ranked opposition.

What the fuck does any of this matter?

None whatsoever.

I said I thought Springer was unlucky not to get the job, that is all.

Of course it was. That's your offical WICBPA team...aka West Indies. FULL STRENGTH

The FACT is.....Springer was WICBPA aka West Indies head coach for 14 matches, losing 11, tied 1, and won 2.

Obviously you're happy with that record to say he unlucky not to get the job

The most amazing thing to me is that anyone would want to go anywhere near that shitass organization. Jimmy and Law are psychopaths to want anything to do with this sorry bunch.

No Bravo, No Narine, No Joseph. Ok whatever you say, disregard the ODI Series win in Zimbabwe years ago and the test win against South Africa too, rewrite history.

Changes for the good, for the better must happen sometime so couldn't this be the start of such a process?
