Dexter Agustus is been lauded by T&T Coach Gus Logie and WI batsman Jermaine Blackwood for providing both coaches and players with video footages of onfield performances and footages of non-West Indian bowlers and batsmen which is helpful in WI players preparing for opposing teams and very important in the development of WI regional and senior teams,

No links, my personal summation based upon observation of televised interviews with both parties on YouTube version of Television Jamaica.

He is based in Jamaica and any WI Regional or senior players could contact for their footages or footages of local and international players.

So hold on...u think Ashwin have to ask for footage of players or Kohli..or Smith..or is its something that exists as part of team strategy for succesful cricketing nations?
In reply to DIEHARD
Videos became commonplace around the same time Australia became dominant. Coincidence?
In reply to Headley
Dig a little deeper into Aussie climb and u will find that that is closer to a coincidence than being the primary factor.
WICB has a paid personnel who is suppose to be taping, no one using those tapes?
In reply to camos
I am not so sure that such videos are been utilized by players, it could be a powerful tool in improving performances by learning prior to match bowling and batting strategies against players. The captains certainly should be students of the game.

And the question then is...why does no one insist that this is so?
And whose responsibility would that be to implement such a thing anyway?
Coach?
Director of cricket?
Manager?
Trainer?
CEO??
President?
In reply to DIEHARD
it is all up to the coach, how does a coach develop game plan with analyzing opponent strength and weaknesses. still to be fair to a coach he may look at the tapes himself and make recommendations to his players based on his findings.
In reply to camos
But then are u truly developing a player properly if you do that?
Wouldnt it be best to watch the footage with him, so that by so doing he learns to eventually come to conclusions on his own, think on his feetm become a better cricketer.
And again, if the coach is not using this technique, whose repsonsibility is it then to inform the coach he cant be doing his job properly without this tool?
You guys will recall that about 15 years ago the Aussies slipped the 'opposition research' under the wrong door one night and the world discovered how prepared these guys were.
In reply to DIEHARD
that is ideal but think about the time constraint ,watching a 5 day game ,even when edited.
In reply to Slipfeeler
He need to provide video footages cause the footages he providing to Blackwood is reflected in his scores and I can tell you it is not working....
