People are asking where is Nathan Allen. He was rumoured to be going to Auburn with Akeem Bloomfield and Raheem Chambers but the roster below does not show his name. This came to my attention in a Jamaican Track and Field publication.

Saw that report also. How did Jonelle do her 1st year in the sprints.?
they probably sent him to a junior college to improve his grades before admission.

I believe she was injured. Looking forward to seeing what she brings this year.

He was not at St. Jago 2015 - 2016. He left school in 2015.
I can't remember which coach he was training with, but I saw him run well at Trials. Came second to Francis I believe. He ran great legs in the semis and finals at Rio.
Here he is running the second leg and handing over to Dunkley. Notice how we lose a metre at the second and third handovers.

Nathon (note spelling) was coached by his high school coach Danny Hawthorne during the 2016 season. He was actually 3rd at the Trials.
He will surface at Auburn soon enough. Jonelle Smith did ok by her and Auburn's standard.

Thanks much appreciated.
Clarify if you can.
BTW Are there any seismic shifts that we should be appraised of before the season starts? I hear KC has a Ugandan class 2 runner. Any surprises from Steths, Petersfield or Cbar?
The trading must have been hectic this summer.

Looks like you were right again.

Are we talking distance runner? Any news on Bann and Williams? I know this is their last year. Joe,like Headley asked, any thing we should be informed of? Darn, the season kicks off in a couple weeks.
In reply to RoyalDad
Yes a distance runner. Class 2, I understand and beating the 'shirt' out of the class 1 boys over distance.
No news. This would be Bann's second year in class 1 and William's third if they are in school.
In reply to Headley
Should we be surprised?
Thought Williams would be last year.Oh well, hope Bann is around for the action. No unnecessary risks with those pre meets running sprints.

What happened to Dexter Lee? He was a promising youngster.

He ran 10.18 as a junior about 2013. Was world junior champ. Got Nike or Adidas (?) contract and went to the States to train. Didn't work out. Rumour was he got injured. Was back training in Ja 2015-16, doing 10.2 -10.3 which is not bad but he's no longer a junior and big man time is 10.10 or faster.
Anneisha Mc Laughlin has now realised at 30 years old that her best event is the 400m.

In 2003 she ran 52.57 to win CARIFTA. What was she missing! Is this a case of having too much talent?
In reply to Headley
I hope Dexter can regain form.

Today's Gleaner mentioned the Ugandan connection. Seems the Gleaner has had a negative view on North Street for the longest while. Any insight from your side?
Note.... The connection is indeed kicking some butt already.
