Jaguars vs Red Force
In reply to Anandram
Big beatdown coming for Red Farce.
In reply to Andy99
J-Mo will make a fighting half century. You heard it here first.
In reply to CricketLuva4
Has been in serious form carrying on from the CPL.
Talented youths such as Ottley, Cariah and Katwaroo have been getting a good runs in the team for 2 seasons now alteast and they have nothing to show for it.
Complacency imo.
Unlike the Guyanese who since this pro league came about have worked on their game so much to get that contract, same with Bim and even LeeDots.
In reply to Anandram
Always going to be a problem attracting investment and sponsorship when the globetrotters retired from FC Cricket and went T/20.
In reply to WICFan
I believe that the so called leadership of the wicb has played a major role in this also. You do not alienate the stars like they have done over the past ten years or so and expect cricket to grow in the region. Most of the other countries stars play the same T/20 games all over the world and still find the time to play first class cricket in their respective countries.
In reply to Anandram
a lot of the other stars get 10 times what the WICB pays from their board, so the don't play as much T20 as our guys.
In reply to Andy99
Btw, why did you guys get rid of Deo? Didn't he move there because his wife is Trini?
In reply to camos
I fixed it for you by adding the words "NEED TO" in capitals.
I suspect that this fact may interfere with the point Anandram wants to make though.

I was glad we moved him. Averaged in the 30s for us which was good compared to our bats but when you have men averaging in the 60's and 50's in the league thats not cutting it for a top import.
In reply to Andy99
Who is he fetching water for these days?
In reply to Andy99
So who doing better in the Red Force team this year?
And how come you didn't mention he took 15 wickets
And also whenever he came into bat....the top order was in tatters
Did you hear Kyle Hope say Deo was very helpful to him last year

No one. Does that mean he should be in, hell no.
You can't just be performing at decently at this level and play FOR ME.
You have to have an upside in terms of improving or you have to be very good at this level like a Devon Smith.
This level is all about development. So a so-so player at this level no thanks.
At what cost?
Ottley took 6 at 23 and Cariah 4 at 37, both younger and have more upside in their bowling than Deo. A allrounder bowling spin and taking 15 at 31 is nothing to write home about.
Many times he CONTRIBUTED to that.
But anywho you get picked and payed to bat, doh make excuses.
Ok well thats good but not good enough for a playing role in the XI. Shiv scored a ton for Guy and is doing well this year now that is someone who can make an XI.
I even suggested that before the season that someone like Shiv would be good for a weaker team like TNT or the Dots. Deo isn't Shiv.
T&T 96/6
Primus 25*
In reply to Andy99
hahahahahahahahahahha...good one....so you are talking theory only...and okay I am being realistic
We are talking about a Tittie team which is a cellar dweller for years now in 4 day cricket.
Without your 'stars' who are no longer playing 4 day cricket..... you need a Deo to share his experience in this weak ass team...that is the bottom line.....
Red farce is not a Trinidad team....
Is mixing up the teams actually. Increasing interest or reducing it?
In reply to Narper
They treat that guy like crap
In reply to Narper
And I'd rather be cellar dwellers with players who have an upside rather than just slightly better than cellar dwellers with decent players with no upside(remember how bad we were last year even with Deo). It doh make much of a difference.
INT is the highest level, you play the best, FC for me is development.
Deo is no Shiv. Was not an international success and currently isn't a good FC player. More so his mental approach to batting has been atrocious. Although he may have helped Hope, that may prove to be an exception.
Also Khan and Emrit wouldn't make my 4-day team. Mohammed also for the most part though seeing his form from the CPL to A-team and now FC I'd give him a run.
