First time seeing him and I am not sure if its the pitch but he is looking nothing special. Nevertheless, you cannot discount his international wickets.

Does everyone who bowls long spells gets wicket ?

That formula is too simple isn't it?

Some would say it is luck...bad balls get wicket...but why bad balls from most bowlers don't get wickets...hmmmm

He's taken a lot of wickets, but other spinners in the region have taken wickets at a better average.

His best chance is to aim for the spinning-allrounder slot, currently occupied by Chase, who hasn't quite cemented his spot yet.

All spinners take wickets in our domestic competition

It'd be hard for Cornwall to remove Chase. I don't think Cornwall can occupy the #6 spot, unless we truly believe Dowrich can bat #6 (which is not too much of a stretch actually).

Jimbo can bat! He is a hell of a slip fielder and gets wickets regularly. He would be a great addition to any side.

with the guys we have now he cannot make the team as a specialist spinner. Bishoo and Miller maybe even Permaul ahead of him

He is competing with Chase for the spinning all-rounder spot

Play him in a test and we'll soon find out.

That's a good point, long spells will eventually give you wickets, especially in our local cricket.

Because of his height he gets extra bounce.. one d reason he gets so many wickets.. d man got really good control too always at the batsman.. don't turn it ah lot though..

Deserve to be in the next test squad!

In reply to CricketLuva4... our wicket-keeper needs to bat at 6 for us to be competitive again.

He has to be a good spinner... attacking or defensive he is good and effective.

Took wickets in and out of WI and against all teams home and away regionally...

He is a good spinner where there are many good spinners. And this success has been over a year or 2.

Want to see him sustain for a while more regionally or A team... and obvious address the elephant in the room.
