In reply to deanjones
Below average minds like you focus on the average until he steps it up bigly..after that you will start behaving like a silly skunt every time he fails and shut your trap and disappear when he is firing on all cylinders..

When he steps up in Australia, England, South Africa or NZ then come talk dem skuntishness about Rahul.

He has stepped up in Australia and hasn't played in SA,England or NZ yet.
You can say the same about Bradman or Headley..

Its rather funny that people always talk about wait till Indians go Eng, Australia, SA, NZ etc. Most them legendary indian bats average more away than at home. Virat Kohli, Vijay and Rahane dominated in Australia the last time they were there. Tendulkar, Laxman, David, Sehwag all average about 50+ in australia.
Australia have some of the flattest batting pitches in the world. Eng, NZ and certain SA pitches are far more conducive to fast bowling than australia. Australia is not a pace bowling haven as people have it, at least not anymore. Even Gabba that use to have plenty pace and fly few years ago seems to be waning in powers.
