Warming Story from Guyana - human relations

Madame Abigail of Shangri-La Guest House on Lombard Street opened her business in the true spirit of Christmas yesterday. Patrons were offered free services between 9 pm and 2 am, including complimentary snacks and two beverages. To her predominantly male customer base, this was a heartwarming gesture especially at this time of year.

Several overseas based Guyanese, home for the Yuletide season, were very impressed. "We have nothing like this in Queens, and the ones there charge an arm and a leg. Some beautiful women here indeed".

Madame Abigail estimated that at least forty-eight gentlemen took advantage of her largesse. Staffers offered their services for free all night.

"It's nice to give back to my Guyanese friends" said Leticia Oliviera, a Brazilian national and professional exotic dancer and masseuse who works at the establishment. "I came here 3 months ago and it feels like my new home now".
