You mean the gap is widening!
In reply to doosra
Add to that, he started his career as a spin bowler.
For once i'm going to be a thread derailer. Australia have the flattest pitches in the world!!!!
In reply to jen
So you think that Devin should discount Kohli's centuries there?
In reply to jen
I wonder why everybody else and dem pickney mekkin runs on all these flat pitches except you know who???
A test ton anywhere against any team is a major achievement.
In reply to Oilah
What about a test victory?
Come to India, Steve Smith. Come to India. That average will be below 55 after he leaves.
India's pitches present far more difficulty to batsmen than any Aussie pitch.
In reply to Baje
Yes, take away Kohli's tons in Australia and Smith's as well. Smith will be left with 7, Kohli 10.
Both have played 90 Innings.
Kholi has 460 runs less, Smith has been not out 7 more time.
Both are very young, we have many years of seeing excellent batting..............
In reply to Devin
yes that will be his biggest test to date
In reply to doosra
He can do it.
You think Root passed the test?
In reply to CricketLuva4
near 500 runs at 50 yes definitely passed
Smith is good enough to fight
staggering that conversion rate flat track or not
In reply to doosra
Root's conversion rate is poor at this stage. Wonder what it is because we already know he can score daddy hundreds.
In reply to CricketLuva4
he's got like 10 scores between 70 and 99 i think
maybe just a thing to sort out mentally
Actually Root is ONLY 26 today
wow...these guys are going to beat up some bowling over the next 5-8 years
8000 intl runs in 4 years is some batting
In reply to Ridge
what percentage of games draw in australia compare to elsewhere?
Which one is capable of breaking 400* and on which pitch?
Kraigg made that test list?
Where is the "big idiot" in that list?
In reply to doosra
That's a great record so far but i don't
hugely enjoy watching Smith bat
In reply to GMA
save for when he throws his long arms thru the offside he's not a pretty batsman
In reply to Devin
No time for this one format pony..
In reply to jen
Australian pitches are indeed the flattest in the world. Indian test pitches are amongst the hardest.
People judge Indian pitches based on what they see in ODIs where Rohit Sharma hits 200s for fun and the IPL strips. Their test pitches in the last few years tell a much different story.
