'we did not make an assessment on the impact of the Russian activity on the outcome of the US elections'

sudden 2017-01-06 18:49:14

for anyone who has worked in the intelligence field that report was great. a rating of high confidence is damning and reflects a grade as close to the gospel as possible in the field.

there is a lot that has been left out tho and if one cares to read into certain words and phrases, it would appear that the Russians have the goods on the RNC and Trump.

Trump is effectively Putin's stooge.

You seem to have something beyond the region of "high confidence" in your conclusion that it's a "load of bullshit".

Makes me wonder where you are getting your information from.

Commie 2017-01-06 22:05:14

You realize they now claim the Russian media tried to influence the elections and not hackers.

Its bs from the same artists who gave us Iraq WMDs and Libyan Genocide and the Aleppo Holocaust.

Bait and switch

Why do you consider those two entities as mutually exclusive and a zero sum game and not a complement to each other? You have shown much better intellect and analytic skills here – ---

Through RT and Sputniknews ? big grin big grin

Are you guys that desperate ?

The biggest media weapon of your elections was Twitter.

Going to declare Twitter an enemy of the state ?

sudden 2017-01-07 08:44:48

In reply to Commie

so you didnt read the report then? you only read what someone's report about it.

i read it and what the report is claiming is that the RT and other Russian agents were charged with disseminating certain information from the hacks that were deemed detrimental to Clinton and or the Dems.

buried in there is a part about the RNC being hacked but the Russians chose not to divulge any info therefrom. it may be that there was nothing untoward but i doubt it.

also inferred is that Trump was hacked and a nice by- line in there is that Russia tends to favour foreign politicians who have businesses and exposure in Russia

Commie 2017-01-07 08:55:36

In reply to sudden

You have a set of people who were all in the tank for conflict with Russia claiming that the person who was running for Presidency and conflict vs Russia was denied by the Russians.

Meanwhile in a parallel effort the mainstream media has somehow managed to convince many people that anything that doesnt emerge from their orifice is 'fake news'.

I cant laugh anymore because the stuff is so incredibly epic with disinformation and bullshit that I can only shake my head.

But wait. This is the kind of shit that has gone on for YEARS. We had iron clad proof that Gaddafi was committing Genocide along with satellite images that forced a UN vote for a no fly zone, which ended in the capitulation and assassination of Gaddafi.

It was a big lie. There was no genocide. Now Libya is a total cluster fuck.

Look I get the angst on Trump. I get the fact that he wasnt supposed to win and everything from media buys to military planning was already in motion for Herr Hillary.

However I am not going to give that bullshit any credence. You are welcome to.

Soon anyone with an alternative view will have to go on sites so obscure they could as well be cricket fan sites smile

i can agree when you write to certain specifics that have gone on in the world and for which the US should shoulder the blame.

however when you turned your Nelsonian eye to Russia influencing the US election in favour of their plant Trump it is there our paths diverge.

surely if one can called out the US one should be able to call out the Russians, surely, ent?

propaganda is not restricted to the US alone, ent?

Commie 2017-01-07 09:13:49

In reply to sudden

To what end ?

Let us be clear.

The mainstream media were both exposed as not only sharing talking points and literally writing for the Clinton campaign, but did so TWICE, first against Sanders and later, ALL in vs Trump. They were stacking the decks in the same way they are now ironically trying to expose.

What you call the US, is the media establishment of the US against the new paradigm, the information clusters that inhabit social media.

Trump didnt buy TV at all in the last two months. He scarcely did newspaper. Got less than 4% of newspaper endorsements. I get why those fuckers are pissed. Id be pissed too if I went all in like that and stil llost.

This isnt the US vs Russia.

Its the Clintons vs Trump, part deux.

Not interested.

When real people have died because of US misinformation most people just shrug.

Shrugs...

Call out the Russians for what ?

You saw what I said above.

Besides the new American President is fine with it and he has the mandate.

Not my problem.

In reply to Commie

let us end it there then.

you seemed to be able to criticise the US and rightly so but when it comes to Russia you shrug your shoulders.

Russia like the US is involved in the propaganda business. Chechnya anyone? the polonium poisoning of that agent in the UK etc

What does that have to do with the US election ?

The president elect says not only are the allegations unfounded but that he will clean up the intelligence agencies responsible for wasting his time smile

I used to think Commie meant commentator in your case. ..now I have to revise that thinking. ..Lol

You are deflecting just like kellyann. The issue is that the intelligence community concluded the Russian government hacked...and all you'll want to talk about is Hillary and mainstream media.

Are you'll so insecure about the win?

sudden 2017-01-07 10:08:40

In reply to Commie

on a serious or rather a different note, how do FATCA and CRS affect the money for citizenship programme, if they do?

Commie 2017-01-07 10:41:48

In reply to sudden

CRS makes demand rise.
FATCA has no real effect because if a US citizen wants to be a citizen of another country he will have to revoke if they dont want pay double tax.

sudden 2017-01-07 10:52:08

In reply to Commie

as i understand it, CRS is the OECD's rough equivalent of FATCA, so how does it make demand rise?

Commie 2017-01-07 11:41:42

In reply to sudden

Because most countries outside the US allow dual citizenship and do not tax you in multiple jurisdictions if you can prove you are tax resident in one or the other.

Not desperate – just fear, intrinsic dread ----- I am not one who surrenders everything to the Lord ------- the world isn’t perfect, people aren’t perfect, and life isn’t fair, the world has enumerable ways of making this known and felt and feared…….. the Putin Trump combo scares the shit out of me----- you are dealing with ‘the US getting its ‘just desert’ --------- I can’t indulge such luxury
