Serena won her third round match with the loss of only four games....
Interestingly, Venus withdrew from the women's doubles with her sister. Venus said she wanted to protect a sore elbow.
I hope it holds out for the fortnight....

she have this uncanny ability to produce these 25-45 degree angle shots at full stretch that evades her opponents...its amazing.
She can beat you on pure placement something similar to Lara piercing a set field.
Power players who play from the baseline like Coco must be wary of her especially when you consider Venus has beaten her just recently.

There is a return of the oldies this tournament...it's not just a case of Federer finding another gear, but three of the four women's semi-finalists are old-timers. Venus is 36, Serena is 35, and Lucic-Baroni has returned from some horrifying setbacks to make it to the last four at 34.

I watched this tournament and these young ladies are very very good.
Serena and Venus have experience being champions and playing top class opponents over the years in Graf,Hingis,Justine Henin, Klisters,Davenport and others...that is the difference here.
