West Indies Test players most likely to be picked

muzmeister 2017-01-16 19:01:17

The next Test series for WI is in April at home vs Pakistan for 3 matches. Who are the likely players to be selected to play in this series? Is Narine available and willing? Will Leon Johnson hold onto his place as an opener? Are there any rookies who are waiting in the wings and ready to be selected?

I think Samuels saw his last match last year and the IPL will have Carlos busy

It's more than a bit curious as to how your first post is in the form of a new thread.

Some peeps here for years before figuring out how to host a thread, but you get it first up.

Sure you're not ratooned?

The only reason why I put Samuels is because I don't see Lil Bravo getting picked, which would leave Samuels as the only senior batsmen around.

Kyle Hope (another Bajan) might very well be his replacement. Its possible.

As for both Joseph & Cummins playing, in addition to Gabriel, Holder, Bishoo & Chase, would be one bowler too many, or more accurately, one batsmen too less.

Anyways, stranger things have happened before. So possible.

In reply to thefacts... I think we need to play 5 bowlers, so one would need to can handle a bat. Our wicket-keeper needs to bat at 6 if we are to be competitive again ... IMHO.

Roach and Taylor could be back to bolster our weak bowling attack, I hope Narine will also be available. I am tired of having to wait for opponents to declare in order for WI to bat, very embarrassing!

In reply to allan... King I am pleased about, but to elevate him to senior duties after one season is not a policy I subscribe to.

Why not? There is no one in this WI team who has a better test bowling record than him since Walsh and Ambrose.

Kemar is clocking 143km/hr. He is back to his old self. smile

I hope Kemar stays fit, I heard Keon could get up to 145, the real speed for a 20 yo
