So why is it that Chanderpaul don't join Gayle in this quest and perhaps combined together, they might stand a chance to break Lara record?
And if you actually believe that either of them ever was (in their entire career) or is still capable of doing so, I have a bridge to sell you that runs from Georgetown, Guyana to Kingston, Jamaica (and you might very well see pigs flying across that bridge).

He played 7/103 matches at the START of his career vs Vass ..(a bowler he had problems with.)

BTW, if Lara (400) is Crampy's target and that is his only motive to play test cricket again then someone should give him some ego-taming pills and remind him that that approach didnt serve WI cricket well with Lara. Seen!!!

Gayle has exceeded all my expectations for him as a test cricketer. Two triple hundreds cannot be scoffed at either.
Unlike di 30sinting posse, Onry earned his place with a decent regional first class average. Gayle and Sarwan are the only two good batsmen from that 2000 crop.
That said he will never break Lara's record.
