Nah man, it's a profound statement that is more ideological than political.

Dukes is spot on here as he shows the dichotomy is not restricted to a party - it is an ideology. American philosophy is a pendulum, and the ballast is the good people across it's lands.

My support for Hilary against Bernie was a triumph of head over heart.

There is nothing great about America that wasnt great about Britain, or Rome, or Greece, or Egypt.

The morality of might is what has driven most people to those countries and not some innate goodness.

When the cycle moves on, everyone will recognise it for what it was. A cycle of civilisation and nothing else.

Very well stated , Dukes is absolutely
correct in his assessment . Now your
description , about being a Pendulum
is in my opinion very apt . Progress
generally moves in the Right direction , But at times due to nature of Democracy , at times it stalls , before moving forward again .

The essential point however is that
ultimately the USA will go in the Right direction . I have absolutely no doubt that the current chaos in
the Trump Administration , has many
Americans suffering from Buyers Remorse .

Two years from now there will be the
Midterm Elections , Many American People are currently flexing their
power in the form of massive demonstrations ; that are not so much
politically motivated ,but by a deep
sense of Fairness .

I note with some amusement, some on here seemingly dancing on the grave of America.I would remind them to heed the words of Samuel Clemens back in 1897!!!!!

I voted for Hillary , because Bernie
is NOT a Member of the Democratic Party . HE however votes with the Democratic Party .

Bernie Sanders in his State, states that he is an Independent Socialist Democrat . However if he had won the
nomination to be the Democratic Party
Standard Bearer in the General Elections I would however have voted for him .
