He needs to start producing on a consistent basis. I am terribly disappointed.

Hope has been hopeless so far.
In reply to Courtesy
What's new?
In reply to Courtesy
Why are you disappointed?..........
If he continues being so hopeless Barbados has to consider that Brooks and Stoute are on the sidelines.
In reply to analyst-kid
how about Alleyne
In reply to analyst-kid
...or allow Shane to wicket keep to allow Shai to concentrate on his batting.
In reply to Courtesy
I support this idea!
In reply to sudden
but who are the other openers out there besides Omar Philips? To my mind they done with Dwayne Smith prematurely...him with Brathwaite might have still done well.
In reply to Courtesy
Getting starts but hasn't carried on at all... very disappointing.
In reply to Gun_Play
At least when Dwayne Smith get a start...it is 25 runs off 10 balls....
In reply to Gun_Play
Yep. Shai should be dominating at this level.
In reply to Courtesy
Well at least your boy Kraigg Brathwaite making hay while the sun shines.
In reply to voiceofreason
I am elated that you now understand this proverbial expression and can even apply it to cricket.
In reply to Courtesy
The sun shines brighter in the Americas.
In reply to voiceofreason
What's Brathwaite's score now...has he hit the century yet?
If only Powell had this unquenching thirst for runs like Paint, the Leewards captain would have delivered a gracious victory speech yesterday instead of this "sour loser" attitude.
In reply to Courtesy
Well he was right to attribute the loss to a brittle middle order (sour loser and all) and he led his team to three victories out of four and I am sure he will have more victory speeches to make in the not too distant future.
BTW I would pay money any day to see KP bat than paint pon a wall.
In reply to voiceofreason
Kieron Pollard?
Your KP cannot tie KB shoe laces!!!!
In reply to WestDem
I fixed the glaring mistake for you.
In reply to voiceofreason
is this alternate fact
In reply to tc1
I liked the looks of Moncin Hodge especially his wristy on-side flick. I hope he improves and keeps knocking at the door..
he's the one who looks like he's ahead of the other youngers at the intl odi level...
Hope answers the call for runs and paints a picasso.
Thanks for shutting me up young man.
In reply to Courtesy
Keep Hope alive
In reply to Courtesy
Picasso must be rolling in his grave.
In reply to Courtesy
Was that a reckless dismissal? Did he get the job done?
Oh btw that is a reverse gm special!
In reply to methodic
Picasso just died again
In reply to voiceofreason
Yes, it was a reckless shot...the job was done and the thread served its intended purpose of spurring Hope into production again.
Shoot from your ass again.
In reply to Courtesy
The job was done by him or somebody else?
In reply to voiceofreason
Subtract Hope's score from the team's score and tell me what you get.
Shoot from your ass again.
In reply to Courtesy
When he was dismissed how many runs did they have to make? How many wickets/runs fell after his dismissal?
Based on that, did he get the job done? Yes or no would suffice.
In reply to voiceofreason
That is what Hope and Powell must avoid...wickets tumbling after they get out after being well set and putting their team in jeopardy.
The lapidary difference here is that (i) Hope is not the captain and (ii) Hope's team chalked up the points.
Shoot from your ass again.
In reply to Courtesy
Let me help you out as it seems that you are diverting from the real issue:
1 Was it a reckless dismissal . YES
2 Did he get the job done. NO
After soaking up 130 balls for only 63 runs, Picasso should have been looking to be there until the end. So Hope not being Captain means that as a batsman he is not required to be responsible?
Keep digging...You are very entertaining...

Have you got a problem with the English language?
I said: "The lapidary difference is..."
Shoot from your ass again.
In reply to Courtesy
Lapidary? Interesting way to use it. I think that gem threw off VOR?
In reply to sudden
Indeed, indeed. That was strategic.
In reply to Courtesy
Your attempt to distort and distract will not work. Lol. The lapidary fact is that Picasso was unable to finish his masterpiece. Unfinished work but to some it maybe still a masterpiece. Like yourself.
Waste of time continuing this back and forth.
In reply to voiceofreason
You have been royally exposed.
In reply to Courtesy
Lol. Skin teeth.
Definitely not by you.
In reply to Courtesy
He likes to bark up the wrong tree
In reply to sudden
I did not bark up the wrong tree. He barked at me so I am just reminding him that Hope did not get the job done just as he accused Powell of not getting the job done. In that he left someone else to finish the job.
He can continue to use all these fancy words and try to distract but look Bro...That will not thwart me. You think I left my mouth inna me Mooma?
Some guys are condescending and Courtesy comes off as that. I will continue to expose him whether he likes it or not.
The lapidary difference: The precise difference.
No harm done.
In reply to voiceofreason
You big idiot...you don't even have to ability to see that you are only exposing yourself (exhibit as above).
In reply to Courtesy
I know I am a big idiot but at least I am not a condescending skunt like you.
Lapidary or precise difference. What a skunt! You think you brain big? Obfuscate all you like.
In reply to voiceofreason
Thank you and have a greattttttttttttttt night.
In reply to Courtesy
Yes man proud of it too. They have a lot of successful idiots...I am one. Lapidary/precise difference. You are a breathing Websters.
In reply to voiceofreason
A smart man knows when to quit
VOR let me set you up again
Hope faces 84 dots lol
So, if you score runs, but out before the end and yet your side still won, VOR says you did not get it done. OK. I Will be watching closely VOR, if this shifts once it's your homie.
In reply to natty_forever
Not if you had a strike rate of 45 plus...Oh gosh man...Or look at the amount of dot balls he faced.
Enough already. IMHO He did not get it done and almost cost his team the game. You cannot eat up all those deliveries and not finish the game.
In reply to voiceofreason... noted.
Allyuh have to understand what is called, stepping up when the chips are down.
In reply to voiceofreason
VOR?
In reply to doosra
I have seen it all...
Even if I try...strike rate?
In reply to Courtesy
Ya boy showed his class today, a super inning.
In reply to openning
Not only that, VOR was complaining about strike rate during his last innings. Hope VOR is classy enough to congratulate Shai not for the century but for the strike rate.
Cum in VOR.
In reply to openning
R U convince that he is the better HOPE
In reply to Courtesy
When Shai scored his 50 off 63 balls, VOR was turned on....after he scored 75 in the next 45 balls, VOR became colder than the North Pole!
In reply to WestDem
I just want VOR to eat his words back...dais all.
VOR!!!!
In reply to WestDem
In reply to Courtesy
Sorry, he can't eat anything currently...he mouth is filled with other stuff!!!
In reply to WestDem
Poor VOR. Let's wish him all the luck.
Altho he can win the match with his mouth.
In reply to Courtesy
He is getting very nervous looking at Roach starting de Pride attack!
VOR won a revolution with his mouth already!
Oh rass!!!
Well done Mr. Hope. You have not disappointed since I asked that you be fast tracked to the West Indies team.
Facking headless batsmen. 20+ runs going a-begging.
In reply to Courtesy
Carlos is a smart guy, but I am not surprise with the way Nurse got out.
They all one to out hit the other, thank god the score was over 260 at the time.
Jamaica top batsman will have to really bat, this bowling is not like the Leewards.
What a big GM this Courtesy fella is. Say the Man hopeless and he turn around and buss two Tons in the Semis and Finals. Meanwhile KB is back to his regular programming: 50 s/r in a final.
In reply to openning
R u now convince who is. The better HOPE
In reply to tc1
Kyle still ahead, he is just adjusting to opening
In reply to voiceofreason
Unlike you, my thread can be used as motivation. I am reliably informed that Shai Hope saw my thread and as his NUMBER ONE fan he vowed not to let me down.
And btw, he shut your trap about strike rate.
Shai hope steps up
big time
3 games in a row
WI player that
In reply to voiceofreason
Btw, Did you notice that the Leewards were all downhill when cappo Powell played that atrocious shot against TNT, when all that was needed, was for him to see it through. They never recovered from that silly shot.
Hope showed Powell a lesson about responsibility when you are the set batsman.
In reply to voiceofreason
Did you see Shai Hope's reaction when Dowrich got out?
Shai was determned to see it through. This shows mindset and determination.
In reply to Courtesy
They won two games after that match with Powell scoring a ton and 80.
BTW:

...Barbados to win...
In reply to voiceofreason
OK. So it was not down hill but an uphill task for Leewards.
......................
The post above only confirms a Jamaica win.
In reply to Courtesy
You did say Hope is talented.
Hopefully this gives him the confidence he needs. 60, 100, 100 in his last 3 matches. I wish he would not open in the senior side though.
In reply to nick2020
The boy gats lots and lots of talent.
He reminds me of a young Sarwan.

So Curtsie?
We will archive this or no need since it bite you so fast in aint funny?
In reply to powen001
Did you see the important words..."so far" in my lead post?
I did not have the slightest of doubts that Shai would eventually get in form.
I was even more impressed with his will to succeed yesterday. There was the eye of the tiger or the Third Eye so to speak, yesterday.
Devin, this is a big aspect of talent...the understanding that your opinions are different, expressing yourself and having the motivation to succeed.
And most of all, I know cricket talent when I see it.
You have to do what is completely unexpected of you.
That's why I consider you, Devin, an IDIOT.
There were reasons why Clive Lloyd stuck with him through thick and thin.
Lloyd knows cricket...not like some the throw_back old farts from the sixties on this MB...
In reply to TheTrail
...and also why de Courtesy said very early on this MB, that he should "be fast tracked" to the West Indies side after seeing just one innings.
In reply to TheTrail
The first time I saw him o TV was against JA, he played an on -drive like Seymour on Jerome Taylor, I said this guy can bat. Taylor cleaned him up next over due to inexperience.
I think those last 4 years of schooling in the UK help him in term of work ethic.
he scored 3 or 4 tons at u19
In reply to tc1
Yep, that is for sure. Shai made his name known in Jamaica.
BTW, Kyle was the better batsman during high school days. However, it seems Shai have overtaken him in batting...but make no mistake, Kyle is a very very good batsman.
In reply to TheTrail
My top picks are Shai, Brooks, Kyle C, Kyle,
.
watch out for Shane Parris (22) and MCcaskie (20) and Primus (21).
In reply to Courtesy
Hope's cover drive six brough back memories of Keith Boyce smoking one that banged into the fench where the tractors came onto the field at the oval. That fence probably still feeling that lash.
In reply to Courtesy
look just go cuntry for a while nuh...
You breaking protocol.
