Those two were making lots of runs for LI,but TTs batting not good enough to chase anything over 175,their batting has fluked it all the way to the semis. To win this, bowl out LI for 150 or less, with Lewis in the team...yuh never know.

If you are in the UK it's channel 534 on virgin. That's the Trinidad leewards match.

Ganga and tino think Damien Jacobs is a fast bowler.
lol

Narper 2017-02-12 13:40:36

Leewards 47/2 15.0ovrs

Otto 25* Bonner 4*

voiceofreason 2017-02-12 13:42:14

No Alzhari so TnT should get some ease early up. Lewis should do well. The top order failure for Leewards is a blessing in disguise as it gives the other batsmen a chance to bat under pressure.

Oilah 2017-02-12 13:43:06

In reply to Narper

Ramdin don't expect ball to touch bat wink

smile

I find that the captains are generally very defensive (doan get Mason started big grin)

voiceofreason 2017-02-12 13:49:59

4444444444 Ottomatic!

granite 2017-02-12 13:51:34

LI going at a pelt bout 3 an over, almost Test cricket,TT must keep it to just about that because me nah trust their batting.

mikesiva 2017-02-12 13:57:13

In reply to voiceofreason

Bonner and otto bring up the 50 partnership.

granite 2017-02-12 14:00:04

Yea that is true but Tonge has been in good form in this tournament,I doh have to tell yuh bout we batting,Louis not bad too.I think we are a batsman short.

Thanks.

I found what was supposed to be a link, but it just keeps 'spinning'.

mikesiva 2017-02-12 14:04:10

In reply to granite

Pierre gets bonner out stumped for 23.

Pierre gives the ball more air than imran, who seems to bowl wicket to wicket without spinning the ball much and at a quick pace too.

Rampaul finally takes a catch. Pierre gets rid of otto for 38.

voiceofreason 2017-02-12 14:12:15

Otto dropped in the previous over by Rampaul. This time taken by the same Rampaul. His inexperience showing.

Otto 38.

Narper 2017-02-12 14:13:45

CAUGHT! Rampaul takes it this time.

Otto c Rampaul b Pierre 38.

Hurricanes 85-4 (24.3 ov)

mikesiva 2017-02-12 14:46:53

In reply to Narper

Imran takes two wickets. Hughes for 21 and Cornwall for two.

IMHO his bowling style is better suited to limited overs cricket than the longer format.

Narper 2017-02-12 14:49:12

CAUGHT! Hughes c wk Ramdin b Khan 21; Trying to cut. Hurricanes 119-5 (32.1 ov)

CAUGHT! Cornwall hits straight to long off.
Cornwall c Ottley b Khan 2. 123-6 (34.2 ov)

Hurricanes 130-6 (35 ov)

mikesiva 2017-02-12 15:03:50

Good to see Gabriel back on the field. Imran in pain after diving now. He's going off.

I'm not sure what kind of stroke Hamilton was playing there.
lol
Bowled by Gabriel for 27.

Narper 2017-02-12 15:09:22

BOWLED! Hamilton b Gabriel 27.

But he'll never be picked for a West Indian 50 overs team, although he has proven himself in all formats for TT,not even a try.

mikesiva 2017-02-12 15:56:15

In reply to Halliwell

Gabriel floored Campbell with a beamer!
lol
Tonge out to Gabriel. No ball!

mikesiva 2017-02-12 16:02:20

In reply to granite

It's true that imran has performed well in the past and been ignored. This Super 50 though he hasn't taken enough wickets.

Tonge hits a rare six!

Ramdin doesn't have much faith in jaggesar.
confused

In reply to mikesiva
I think his batting is more than useful and expected to see him play at a higher level, but has only played for our A team once or twice.I also had hoped to see the Ottley brothers develop as much better than they are at the moment, there was loads of promise when they first started,I feel they still could be important to not only TT cricket, but the Caribbean.

mikesiva 2017-02-12 17:01:48

Without alzarri Joseph the Leewards pace attack looks a bit toothless.

Cornwall bowled an awful first over too and Lewis tucked in.

The 50 opening partnership came up off just 38 balls.

Cornwall gets a fortunate wicket. Kyle hope given out lbw for 20 to a ball sliding down leg.

Looks like alexis is being rested for this match. He can't be dropped. ..surely.

No question about this wicket. Lewis hits a short and wide Cornwall delivery right into the hands of point. Out for 47.

big grin

granite 2017-02-12 17:34:07

I think we should look to lose this match because we may have a better chance of beating Bim Pride than the Yardboyz.

mikesiva 2017-02-12 17:37:19

In reply to granite

Hosein traps ottley lbw for three with an arm ball.

voiceofreason 2017-02-12 17:38:25

Good delivery Hosein. Hosein vs Pierre. They play for the same TNT club: QPCC.

mikesiva 2017-02-12 17:45:20

In reply to voiceofreason

Strange captaincy by Powell. Trinidad promote Pierre and there is only one slip.

aliaskid13 2017-02-12 17:51:23

In reply to mikesiva

The skipper is being too defensive. Trinidad gave him a gift by promoting a tailender. We need wickets. He shoulda unusually out pressure on him to get him out. That should be a free wicket.

doosra 2017-02-12 17:55:28

Evin Lewis is always in T20 mode
