Preliminaries Over but Holder?

Emir 2017-02-12 20:52:45

Hardly did anything of note and looking at the top players, I do not believe he can make the ODI team purely based on merit.

Rammo must come back as cappo, he is head and shoulders above anyone else in captaincy acumen, his glovemanship and batting has evolved.

Actually Emir..... he is the fourth highest wicket taker and had his best home season ever, Sad to say Rammo has fallen further behind Dowrich and Hamilton and now Ambris doing so well, i just don't see his return anytime soon

As a gloveman, Ramo has no competition.

As an ODI cappo, I just take what all the commies including Ambi had to say about his leadership.

For me he is the best ODI seam bowler in the region..... and is continuing to improve.

Ramdin had his chance. A decent but very inconsistent batsman at international level and a good keeper - terrible captain though. Time to move on.

If they were to select a second XI right now, I don't see any possible way for Holder to be included....perhaps in the 3rd XI in which just about any participant in the tournament could make a valid claim for selection.

analyst-kid 2017-02-13 03:14:05

I question Holder's captaincy...but NOT his bowling.

He has developed into an excellent ODI bowler and he is very good at the death now.

Ramdin has moved to an avg of 40.40...but is the glovework so deplorable in the region that he should displace arguably better younger batsmen like Ambris and Hope with others like Thomas,Hamilton and Dowrich breathing down his neck?

I agree.

He has 4th highest wkts with a bowling average of less than 14 and an economy less than 4.

He's doing his job. Almost every game he's taken early wkts, and his economy has never been over 5. Not spectacular but consistent, just like Ramdin who you're pushing.

Not to mention he's contributed a useful cameo or two.

natty_forever 2017-02-13 08:44:11

... well it should be a wicket-keeper from one of the four semi-finalists. twisted

I just do not see Holder as an automatic pick and with him being capo, he thus is automatic.

Right now the first 5 bowlers does not include Jason

timeless99 2017-02-15 08:48:32

Jason holder is as good as any bowler we got now but he could not of walk into any other international team. He is the worst captain we have ever had and sad to say but ab and viral will smack holders bowling for fun

WI bowling goes thru Holder, he is a top shelf player and will only get better as he plays, so stop your senseless tit postings.
