RAVI RAMPAUL SAYS "THE RED FORCE HAS THE UPPER HAND "
Hmmm.....a good opening spell from Taylor/Leveridge and Red Force in serious trouble....similarly a good opening spell from Rampaul/Gabriel could spell doom for Scorpions.
This might very well depend on the toss and who bats first.....in this encounter the team who chases could be up against it unless the total chased is very small.

It may well be a low scoring match, both teams are almost identical, good bowling and suspect batting, even with Lewis(TT) who always seems to be in 20/20 mode.

Ask the defending champs
For what its worth T+T is TWICE defending champions
Our opening pair going kill their opening bowlers ... you heard it here first.

Pace like fire counts for nothing? How we gonna wake up the British and Pakistani?
We should be throwing Josephs, Gabriel and Leveridge at them mixed with a little bit of Jacobs or Nurse

Jamaica have the batting even if we lose early wickets..TT not so..
In reply to buds
I agree. Scorpions are favorites in this match
In reply to imusic
I think this match is going to come down to who have the three best bats. Is Lewis, Mohamed and Ramdin better than Blackwood, Powell and Mccarthy. Who plays the biggest innings should win this match.
In reply to imusic
I would not say we are the favourites but our batting appears to be gelling at the right time..
TT are the two time champs and should be favourites regardless of form.
It should be an exciting game..
Good cricket all round.
Rampaul talking but these two teams evenly matched.

If Trinidad Red Force struggling against the Leewards bowling...how will they no nonsense batsmen cope against a much stronger bowling attack that restricted the stronger Pride batting to under 200 twice?
The Scorpions only scored 250 odd in a sole innings against Pride becuz capt Holder allowed them to get away in the first 15 overs...the earlier innings they struggled to post 200...how will their aggressive batsmen cope against the very disciplined and penetrative Red Force attack led by Rampaul?
SCORPIONS/RED FORCE D-DAY
I expect the bowlers to dominate Lewis Ramdin and mohammad the key batsman for red force
De Force have de Upper Hand but Rampee getting some serious Upper Cuts here!!!

Definitely ...all last night I was saying I hope Rampaul didn't force de Yardies by bragging to really get determined to do well.
Remember basically the teams were really evenly matched...no shape or form did Red Force hold such an advantage as Rampaul boasted.
In reply to analyst-kid
To Be fair to Rampaul, he gave T&T the upper hand based on the knowledge of the ground and not the strength of the players. That was not an unreasonable assessment at the time.
The hands have been cut off and the tongue too..
