With 11 current West Indian Players in their line-up it is safe to say that the Barbados Pride is highly favored to join Jamaica Scorpions in the finals. This is like a West Indies team vs the Leeward Hurricanes. This should be a lop-sided win in favor of the Bajans, but can the Leewards pull a David and tackle this Goliath?
To do that Leewards would have to pull off a brilliant game in all facets. A lot depends on the ability of the middle order to perform: Bonner, Hughes, and Hamilton. Also the Bowling and fielding will have to do much better, hopefully Zhari will play,Tonge needs to step up, if they could prise out Brathwaite early, you never know. Hosein, Campbell, Cornwall, maybe even Bonner and Hughes could be used as the Bajans have been known to struggle against spin.
Bajans are clear favorites and the Leewards are the Underdogs.

Brilliant is not the word for VOR.
Transparent is the word.

Nice try VOD but we are happy that you aware of your reversed influence on any team or player, you actually made Marlon and Blackwood much better players. Thanks for that! Anyway go out a fight for win against the "wi team", set up a JA vs LI finals. Hurricanes cannot run this time!
In reply to Slipfeeler
reverse "goat mouth" him trying.
Not even a lick of subtlety in the attempted reverse sweep there.
In reply to voiceofreason
We got this!
Only thing I saw bother this Barbados batting wise was the extreme pace of Leveridge.
It made them abandon their patient game and go after and hence underrated the bowling of Campbell.
I don't see no bowling that would really bother the Bajan bowling so therefore they would have to beat themselves
In reply to analyst-kid
So Analyst what are you really saying?
In reply to voiceofreason
Seriously?.......man you really behaving like a regular rabbit these days............(in Barbados we got a name fuh rabbit)......ask someone............
You like you eating and drinking this cricket thing, so early you chatting shit bout star studded, if star studded was all it took, this game today would not be happening, the Trinis and J'cans would have played for the right to meet the star studded Bim team, chill, they have to come out and play, but you jumping the gun.........tek time, the game ent play yet......
At the start of this tournament who would have thought Leewards would have been in the Semi finals today, I am certain not many.
Leeward Islands fans we are labeled as the "underdogs" in the contest but I am confident we are going to bring our "A" game today and defeat, defeat the Pride team.

What I am saying is that the vaunted Bajan batting can only be their own downfall today. The Leewards bowling although good not lethal enough to restrict them.

Well let's wait and see if you are correct, we will bookmark your comment for later today!

My sympathy to the sporting fraternity in St.Kitts on the passing of Steadroy "Tish" Techeira
The two teams are well balanced. It all comes down to proper umpiring...

Ten of the eleven bajans playing today have played for the west indies. That doesn't make Barbados star studded. It just explains why we are ranked as low as ninth in the odi rankings.
In reply to mikesiva
How does this explain our ranking? The current players are not the ones that put us there so please explain this.
In reply to Ray123
You read de part weh mike say ten of eleven?
In reply to mikesiva
Relative. The world is relative.

Today for the first time in the history of C.C .com VOR's GM will fail miserably.
In reply to cricketmad
Man backing LWI strong.
In reply to WestDem
So because they are the majority of the West Indies team is bajan is the reason we are ranked so low in ODIs????
Is this your logic? Just correct me if I'm wrong I don't want to misinterpret you guys
In reply to mikesiva
How long ago were we ranked 8 or 9
In reply to Ray123
Mike is not going to respond to you
In reply to Ray123
If the Bajans are responsible for our low intl ranking then it must be because wi has been putting out an under 19 team in past years cause the average age of this bdos team minus Benn is about 25.
In reply to Logic
Ray is pointing out the same as you.
