"The truth"

When did it become subjective?

I remember when there was only one truth and that was what actually happened. Is it because everyone is putting their spin on the truth?

Is this the result of social media?

"The truth"
 ...
When did it become subjective?

Since the Evangelicals found common ground with Trump and by so doing abandoned one of their primary beliefs, "The truth will set you free".

Perfect example

"I was disappointed to learn that the facts that had been conveyed to me by Gen. Flynn were inaccurate," Pence told reporters at a joint news conference with the head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels. "I fully support the president's decision to ask for his resignation."

If he misled you, then it is not facts.

The truth nowadays has now been relegated to 'video/pics or it didn't happen' coupled with typical human self-interest which gives rise to such 'realities' as alternative facts, yes so there's a social media component,so much so that social media falsehoods are now the 'absolute truth' to many, some people actually only 'exist' on social media and think everything in life is just a click, pic or vid.

I guess the people peddling this stuff, knows some people are too lazy to double check.

But the media is also being accused of being misleading.

For one thing, this'truth' spoken of in the scriptures are not of a Political nature but spiritual truth.
John 17:

17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.

God's word is truth. Which is why it is important to find those teaching the truth!

Those who claim to know God but are putting faith in Governments are not familiar with truth!
Jesus made it clear that his Government was not of this source.
John 18:
36 Jesus answered: “My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.”

Jesus did not take part in Politics...when they tried to make him King he ran away!
