Well in this very Forum I have cited the fact that the BCCI was verbally
slapped around in Court by the India Supreme Court regarding its failure
to implement the findings of the Lodha Committee .

THIS IS DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE

BCCI IS A PRIVATE ENTITY .

RECENTLY THE INDIA SUPREME COURT

REMOVED THE PRESIDENT OF THE BCCI

FROM THEIR POSITIONS IN THE BCCI .

Currently the BCCI is being run by a
Committee of Administrators { COA }
In this Forum on several occasions I have cited the fact that the WICBC's
Structure is very similar to that of the BCCI .

INTERESTINGLY THE EMPERORS OF THE ICC

WERE NO WHERE INSIDE THE COURT WHEN

THE JUDGES WERE BLASTING THE

OFFICIALS OF THE BBCI REGARDING

THEIR STEWARDSHIP OF CRICKET IN INDIA

I DO NOT RECALL THAT THE ICC SENT

OBSERVERS TO THE CASE IN INDIA .

SO THIS TALK ABOUT GOVERNMENTS NOT

INTERFERING IN CRICKET IS NOTHING

MORE THAN PURE B.S .

In this Forum , I have continuously stated that CARICOM needs to take the
WICBC to Court . There exists an abundance of evidence that can be produced to the Court why the WICBC
must be removed from the governance of Cricket in the Region .

HOWEVER THAT BY ITSELF IS MEANINGLESS

IF THE REGIONAL BOARDS ARE NOT FULLY

RESTRUCTURED .

As I have stated elsewhere , in this
Forum , it makes no sense restructuring the WICBC , without
restructuring the Regional Boards .

IF ONLY THE WICBC IS RESTRUCTURED

AND THE REGIONAL BOARDS ARE NOT

RESTRUCTURED WE WILL BE IN A DEEPER

MESS .

This is precisely why I have stated in this Forum , that just dealing with the WICBC , and leaving the Regional Boards untouched , will be akin to putting a Band aid on Cancer
that has broken the skin .

Both the WICBC & the Regional Boards
MUST be restructured together obviously that is if the Regional
Governments are interested in saving
the once rich history of West Indies
Cricket .

It is my understanding that the WICBC
has been put on notice by the ICC ; evidently the ICC has apparently come to the realization that the WICBC
has been derelict in its responsibility to exercise Good Governance of Cricket in the Region .

I will continue berating both the ICC ; the WICBC & the Regional Boards until I see progress . As I have continuously stated here , the ICC
has a responsibility to ensure that all its Members exercise Good Governance .

The WICBC & the Regional Boards have bluntly refused to do that despite the fact that our Players & Teams particularly in the longer versions
are not as competitive as they can be ..
In those versions of the game our Players & Team are wallowing at or near the bottom of International Cricket .
