Congrats to the young man but the event is losing significance every year with many big names not competing.
This year event Machel, Kes, Bunji, MX Prime, Kerwin and Destra did not enter

True.....but people will criticize anyway
When they do compete....people bawl how they had their time and why not give someone else a chance?

I think both Voice and Oralnado Octave are special talents and will soon enough join the ranks of the BIG GUNS. Voice done on his way already.

Peejay is right....soca monarch is now like a young king....
Problem is the bug acts smarten up and realize if Dem ain't win the prize money they appearing for virtually free while Munroe (the predecessor) was raking in huge profits.
Now is too much risk v reward in lost revenues for the big acts.
I pass outside the stadium round 9 and ir was a ghost town.
