Go get 100 Cariah,8 more shouldn't be hard.Windies are short of batsmen,I mean batsmen and not sloggers for the IPL,a very good season and you could be there.

Well done Cariah, second century after Walton was first to it.Cotterell fighting back to get noticed by the selectors,we could do with a left arm pacer.

Batters in the region is very poor. The need for better pitches at the divisional club level is vital to the development of both the batsmen and bowlers. The pitches in the region have become too slow and low. The pitches should have true balance bounce and carry. Due to the low and inconsistency, batsmen are on the front foot most of the time which have weaken their ability to play off the back foot in a more positive manner. Also our bowlers are not smart enough to realize that they need to pitch up the ball a bit more just short of a good length allowing the ball to swing, instead they tend to bowl a bit shorter with the intent of getting more pace on the ball due to the lack of pace from the wicket. There are so much advantages for both bat and ball in having true wickets. Hence one of the main reasons we are a no show in world cricket.

I don't think many on this MB gave TT a chance, but they are looking like contenders with this win in sight,150/175 should be nuff runs to blast out WI fuh lil bit.
Keep it up TT!

granite 2017-03-12 10:50:47

160,170 or 180,and declare.Come on Tits you can bundle dem out today, why wait for Monday.

Emir 2017-03-12 10:59:58

In reply to granite

It may rain tomorrow as well. A total of 300 and declare is enough.

granite 2017-03-12 11:15:38

In reply to Emir I thought 300 but with these teams you never know,104 yesterday and they could surprise everybody and 300 next go.I do feel that we have a good bowling side and maybe we can clean them up today.

cool

granite 2017-03-12 11:36:54

TT 87 for 3,a lead of 258,if rain expected tomorrow another 75 or 100 should be nuff runs. This Rajah boy has been consistent since he started opening for TT,his father was also quite good for TT.

Aneil Rajah is his father, he played when Trinidad and WI had lots of top cricketers- when we ruled the world. But Aneil Rajah was never a regular, he had to compete with lots of talent.

mikesiva 2017-03-12 12:24:17

In reply to Emir

Aneil Rajah could've walked into this joke of a Test team now...he was so much better than his son's generation.

Anil Rajah played at the same time as Prakash Moosai, Sheldon and Larry Gomes, Dudnath Ramkissoon Angel Gabriel, Augustine Logie...maybe even Phil Simmons, Theo Cuffy, Kenrick Bainey, Deryck Murray , Rangy Nanan etc

Yes. Phil came in later though. But Inshan Ali, Jumadeen, Imtiaz Ali played together.

Bernard Julien was also still in the picture

Emir 2017-03-12 13:02:02

Timur was from BG, a very stylish batter and he partnered Bacchus.

We were so strong then, they guys could not break in to WI, but now would walk in with their eyes closed.

granite 2017-03-12 13:22:45

TT seem to be throwing some lathi,150 fuh 3 and Cariah again making runs,if he has a good season the selectors will have to look at him.

granite 2017-03-12 14:05:12

We are without our 2 best batsman,Lewis and Mohammed, hope they are back after we cut WI rass. lol

Pacy 2017-03-12 14:42:48

Century for Kyle hope. He has been quite consistent in scoring big runs since the A tour. Wish he can maintain the form to be in contention when the test tour starts.

granite 2017-03-12 15:37:10

WI set 375 to win are 2 runs for 1 wkt,Theophilus runout. smile

Prako 2017-03-13 10:31:03

T&T playing while Narine is playing for Queen's Park

Windwards need to focus for this first session. Don't think about the target of just over 300 runs remaining.

Bat and keep the wicket intact till lunch and reassess. If it warrants going for it then open up a little. But Windwards are very fragile and can be bowled out in 1 session hence I am demanding a cautious approach.

mikesiva 2017-03-13 10:54:42

In reply to Prako

That seems to tell me that Narine is no longer interested in anything longer than T20 cricket for Trinidad or the West Indies...those who are expecting more are dreamers.

Mike,

That was white clothes cricket he was playing as well for Queens Park.

It definitely shows that he is not interested in playing tests if he is playing the longer format for club while the regional tournament in ongoing
