Be honest with yourselves. This just concluded series. As painful as it was.
Say which ones you will keep and who will you replace them with so we beat Pakistan 3-0

Which WI player deserve to be kept for Pakistan?
In reply to rillo
You name yours first, nah
In reply to rillo
The 13 has tonne retained. You can't chop and change every other series.
In reply to Pacy
If they play schoolboy level then why not?
In reply to XDFIX
I would start with some of the rejects.
Gayle, Pollard, Narine,Samuels,
We need to fill seats also.
Bring in and keep Hytmeyer,Joseph,Chemar Holder,Ottley, Dowrich, Cotteral,
This is a start.
Only two batsmen and three bowlers established themselves in the last concluded series. Carter and Mohammed ave 40+ and Nurse,Gabriel and Joseph ave sub 30 and taking wickets. Add the captain Holder, Brathwaite and Hope and that is Three positions up for grabs that should be taken by Rovman Powell, Cornwall and possibly Ambris.
Ambris however has to fight with Walton ( to me the next opener to partner Kraigg who only retains his play based on a superior avg of 20 to Lewis 9.00+ and Powell's 6.00+)

'so we beat Pakistan 3-0'
This tells me u r not serious.
In reply to analyst-kid
Ambris seems to be a strong lower middle ordernplayer and the aspect I liked with his performance this season is the way he came in when the team was in crisis and stabilised.
I do not think he is an opener but if he really can replicate it at international level, he would be a good No 6 for WI.
Walton should be eyeing the openers slot. I do not see any changes with the other positions.
In reply to tops
We need to beat them 3-0 in order to qualify.
Just go back a few years.
Both WI and Pakistan were garbage teams. One has ascended the other one king of the garbage heap by miles.
Now we have and should not qualify for the 2 biggest tournaments in cricket.
Then you guys saying WICB is well managed and the President is the best we have?
WI will go lower and lower until the USA gets to manage us.
Windies won the last test vs Pakistan
Lewis
Walton
Blackwood
Hope
Mohammed*
Powell
Carter
Cornwall
Nurse
Joseph
Gabriel
Holder as skipper has now lost 9 matches in a row, is a proven non performer and must be sacked if we are serious about getting to the World Cup
E. Lewis
C. Walton+
D. Bravo
M. Samuels
J. Mohammed
J. Carter
R. Powell
J. Holder*
A. Nurse
S. Gabriel
A. Joseph
Will Samuels and Bravo be available? And considering they did not play in the tournament and are not playing in the four day how can u select them? And how can you reward an opener like Lewis avg 9 in the last ODI series?
This is a more realistic team.
Brathwaite
Walton
Hope
Ambris
Mohammed
Carter
R.Powell
J.Holder
Nurse
Gabriel
Joseph
In reply to analyst-kid
Because we know Lewis at least has the potential to score an ODI century.
He has the shots and the ability.. Back him to find form.
If Brathwaite and Powell are the alternatives...It has to be Lewis
In reply to rillo
'you guys'???
For the record, I agree with lil Bravo's statement, even though I don't condone the way it was said.
I just dont understand how people here
cannot see that Braffits and not ODI
material at this present time.
Paint is strickly a test batsman now.
Calos lost his form and bowling shite
in addition to not batting.
As for Cornwall,
His size and lack of mobility is his Achilles
heel at this time and should not be ours as well.
Cornwell for test at this time,
as his lack of mobility would not hut us.
He needs to keep peforming in 4dayers now.
Walton knock on the door is deafening.
1. Evin Lewis,
2. Chadwick Walton
3. Jason Mohammed,
4. Shai Hope,
5. Shane Dowrich,
6. Jonathan Carter,
7. Jason Holder (capt),
8. Rovman Powell
9. Devendra Bishoo,
10. Akeal Hosein
11. Ashley Nurse,
12. Shannon Gabriel,
13. Alzarri Joseph,
14. Reynard Leveridge
15. Sunil Ambris.
My squad.
In reply to TanteMerle
1 shot rum too much. I don't think Bishoo is a odi bowler. Even in the regional he didn't bowl well. either replace him with Permaul or if not, another leggie.
In reply to tops
Harsh, given his stats, an economy of 4.5 and a SR of 32 says otherwise
btw Narines economy is 4.12 with a SR of 38
how else can you tell a man he is a "big idiot"
is there a kinder, gentler way?
In reply to cricketest
He could a do it in private via text or email.
I remember how Lara dealt with WICB re his issues with them...and when he was asked about it, he said when u have someone backed against the wall, leave them some room to save face...
In reply to DIEHARD
No Gabriel. He is not a wicket taker neither a death bowler.
We need wicket taker at he top.
In reply to DIEHARD
Braithwaite needs to be told we are playing for RUNS.
This blocking and "ckooking" thing will not work.
He also needs to know that there is a powerplay at the start of the innings whereby the advantage is with the batsman not the bowler.
In reply to tops
I will never ever say that this WICB is well managed or has West Indies Cricket as their sole purpose or goal. Monetary gain yes but cricket no.
Why does the affiliates vote Cameron back in is a mystery.
Our own Bassarath has proven over and over to be a yes man. He should be ashamed of himself.
In reply to TanteMerle
Replace Gabriel with Chemar Holder or Cotterel.
Give them a chance.
Gabriel is same as paint. No use in this format.
A kid I want to see given more exposure is Hetmyer.
In reply to rillo... J Mo and Carter. Gabriel if fit.
In reply to cricketest
In Trini language he is ah big ass OR HE GONE THROUGH or HE IS A WASTE OF TIME AND SPACE
So pick one
In reply to rillo
We need wicket taker at he top.
Posted his stats for you, sometimes our perception of a particular player doesnt allow us to recognize the reality, we confuse their ODI form with their Test form and vice versa, or we think that they have performed as we expected they would.
He's only played 10 ODIs...but his stats so far are much better than I expected they would have been, thats for sure
In reply to DIEHARD
He does not keep the runs down. He is not a death bowler. That is the main thing with him.
It is either he gets wickets up front as a main strike bowler or kills you at the end. He is neither.
In reply to rillo
His stats say he's a wicket taker.
He takes wickets up front. Haven't you been watching the games?
The problem is no one else does

Big Bravo HAVING/ GETTING too many injuries of late.
In reply to natty_forever
Been saying that for years.
Have been pounding Bassarath for years also as a weak administrator who is a follower and not a leader.
