Am sure you are not going to get a response. Folks are having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that our players are not of International standard. They are going to clamor for the new flavor of the month, as soon as a new name scores a few runs. I do not envy the selectors job.

First of all that was an ODI team...They performed in the Super50 which was the tournament that they used to select the players for the ODI series.

I assume the selected players did well during the one day series and in the first match after the ODI series. Need to check the scorecards

For long selectors were evaluated agains the selections they made. Interestingly to suit the agenda the excuse is "anyway no one else did well" so the selections are good

Nuff pressure on Hughes to do well next time he plays. I have no doubt a century or two are around the cards for Chesney.

Your argument is based on a faulty or false premise, as you cannot compare ODI players with 4 Day players. Face the facts man, no need to rationalize in behalf of Selectors. They picked a B'dos Invitational test team to play an ODI series and got white-washed twice. Now the only purpose of this post is to encourage Selectors to continue the rapid demise of WI cricket by selection of unsuitable players. I also saw that you conveniently omitted Walton's name from your list.

The selectors did get it right with the exception of both Brathwaites. Players are generally given instructions on how they should play by team management (i.e., some batsmen are ask to bat as long as possible or some bowlers are ask to bowl a specific line) and players like Mohammed and Powell could have been instructed to bat without taking undue risk while scoring fastest than Kraig.
The players that most of you were calling to be included should have used the first-game after the 1-day series to refresh the selectors memory that they are skilled and capable. In a 4-day game they could bat more than 50-overs to build the type of score that would say to the selectors - remember me!
Don't give excuses for failures but rather challenge the players. Success breeds success.
