Another Hundred For Steve Smith

CricketLuva4 2017-03-16 06:37:02

Number 19.

Steve "Can't bat" Smith.

Steve "You wondered why he was in the side" Smith.

CricketLuva4 2017-03-16 06:37:49

Only Lloyd and Cook have scored 2 hundreds as a visiting captain.

And the 4th fastest to that number to boot. Average of 60+. Wow!!

Fastest to 19 hundreds:
1. Bradman
2. Gavaskar
3. Hayden (after the retirements of Ambrose, Walsh,Bishop, Waquar, Akram... big grin)
4. Smith

Didn't realize Hayden was up there. He had a gap of 3 years, when he came back in the 21st century he was a man on a mission.

Only guy other than Bradman to get 5000 runs at 60+.

Steve "You wondered why he was in the side" Smith.

Ozzies could've messed this kid up when the tried to make him replace Warne just because he bowled part time leg spin.
But he was mentally strong enough to go back and work on his game and pile on the runs in domestic cricket.

See how you guys ready to heap the praise on the Aussie Smith, but when it comes to the Indian Kohli only Devin puts up his hand (apart from Venky and Khaga, that is).

I'm the one of the few here who is willing to start a thread on Smith.

Kohli has a brigade already, I leave the Kohli praising to them.

It's funny, I remember seeing him as a mediocre leg spinner, look up his FC record and see he was averaging 55 or so back then.

cool

I am an advocate of "shut up and bat" as Kane Williamson does and Chanderpaul did.

Or if you'd rather run the mouth to the media as Kohli and Smith have been doing the past few days, be ready to churn out some runs.

Smith did, let's see how Kohli does.

I watched the inning and it was one of class
He is busy at the crease, but the ball is played from under his eyes.

runout 2017-03-16 11:48:38

Steve Smith is boss!!!

Watching him bat. he is not as delectable as the other leading batsmen, but his efficiency and shot selection is awesome. He is very uncomplicated when he is at the crease.

From all accounts it looks like a flat track, so you
know what to expect.

What do those two have to "talk" about? One is the worst loser in test cricket history and the other leads a team of perennial bridesmaids. They have to coolly be subservient, perhaps like you..

A simple simpleton with "brain fade"..

If you really try, you can find something to talk about....irregardless of your situation.

Your presence on this MB is a testament to that.
