When Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer was found unconscious in his hotel room in Jamaica 10 years ago this week, the cricket world was shaken.

I was flying when I heard my father’s death had been declared a murder

Remembering also the total incompetence of Jamaican forensics and the chaos they caused.

I think what the real hiccup was that this occurred after Pakistan lost to a minnow, was Ireland right?

In reply to doublecentury... actually the local guy said murder. The flown in guy looking at pictures said the opposite. Go figure.

Right. And what made the victory more sweet for the Irish, it was on St Patrick's day...which, incidentally, is tmr.

Absolutely. Got all the talk turned into match fixing allegations and whatnot.

And of course when combined with Bangladesh daring to beat India, sending two "heavyweights" home early, made the bigshots declare that CWC'07 was a failure rolleyes

I remember that this caused a lot of "fake news" but no one was able to back up any allegation of incompetence on the local pathologist, despite the help of Scotland Yard.

xactly. Even Bob Woolmer's children has accepted the facts he died of natural cause.
