Kamla Shamelessly Play The Hindu & Race Card

What a nasty stinking person. Why didn't she give a speech like this when she enjoyed the power and prestige of being Prime Minister.

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar last night defended Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha leader Sat Maharaj for his staunch defence of East Indian traditions with respect to the ongoing debate on child marriage.
'

What nastiness is this?

Persad-Bissessar said today, much like 100 years ago, East Indians are still fighting for recognition and fighting against long-held perceptions about the Hindu faith and Indian people.

Here she deliberately conflates Hinduiusm with Indian- this is a common tactic these radicals use to claim it is one and the same- it is straight out of the racist playbook.

If you understand the history of Trinidad politics, you'll understand.

The country is now facing some challenges in the crime front and the economic front any talk of naked racism is bad for the country.

What she said was a damn lie, Trinidadians of South Asian ancestry has an much power and prestige as the other dominant ethnic group- Afro Trinidadians.

Also, Hindu does not equal Indian- An Indian origin person can be of any faith or no faith.

Child marriage in this day and age is sinful and for her to suddenly find her Hindu religion to support it is sickening.

“We have been hearing the debate raging about marriage age as the Government seeks to change the law. The debate is still to continue before the House of Representatives in Parliament.

It has been most offensive to witness the denigration of our leaders of the Hindu community and Muslim community who have been exercising their right to speak out against the change being proposed by Government,” she said.

That is a smokescreen. The VAST Majority of Muslims do not support it and the Muslim "spokesperson" Kamla took to the Senate as a guest of her party.... well it turned out that no one in the Muslim knows of him and he do not represent the diverse Muslim community.

In addition, Kamla's comments about "Indians" still fighting for their rights etc, is both scandalous and high mischief.

She was the PM, if it was true, why didn't she change it?

She sees an opening- crime and the economy, and dove into it with the full race card.

But Trinidad is not Guyana, Trins see right through her and she will never win again. She lost a run off election in the heaviest Indian and Hindu seat in the entire country to an Afro Trini candidate and during her stint she lost 5 successive elections.

Apparently, she now believes the RACIST and Hindu Radical card will get her back into power,
