Makes one wonder if the regional opposition bowlers have ever seen how opposition test bowlers bowl to him. You would think that they would try to exploit his weakness to deliveries just outside the off stump.

You are comparing Apples to Oranges.
Regional cricket is so different to club cricket, that why most fail at the International level.
Can you imagine the two young fastbowlers, bowling to six Chanderpauls during the GCB cricket season, you will see guys learning and developing.
I say the same about the BCA, they have one good batsman per team, so bowlers don't have to work to get wickets, and batsman can fail and still make their club team.

That's exactly my point. If after 34 tests any young test batsman worth their salt don't average at least 40 I don't have high hopes for them...

Really? Are trying to defend this shyte too? No wonder the standard of cricket will continue to be low. Kraigg is our premier test batsman, the best thing we have right now, so what is wrong with criticising his average after 34 tests?
