When Kraig Brathwaite bats slow in ODI, it places more pressure on our power hitters to score boundaries...with this comes more risks and the increased risks increases the chances of them getting out.

This lagging behind in ODI RR is also applicable to the West Indies.

Batting out de 50 overs is not the end all for ODI cricket.

Excellent use of stats in the article.

The stats are interesting.

But context is important.

Braffit is batting in a weak ass WI team where no one is averaging even 40 in ODIs....they are ALL novices.....a WI team which is prone to collapse of the top order....when this happens power hitters are useless....they inevitably struggle...the lesser of the 'two evils' is that Braffit stays around...even eat up balls....but a semi decent score is on the board when power hitters come in.

Thank you. The choice is currently between two evils and does not provide a solution to our problem.

WICB can chose to remain there in perpetuity.

Side bar: De Courtesy will never do the same things over and over again without tangible positive results.

In my view...Braffit will eventually learn how to up his SR as he builds his innings....it's only recently he has started to play ODIs...

This would be ideal. He needs to do this quickly to be beneficial to West Indies ODI teams.
