Maybe this is not the time to say this – but I have never seen Paul Ryan as this intellectual wonk that media depict him as ------Ryan is basically an Ayn Rand–influenced ideologue determined to stop government from taking rich people’s money at any cost -------- that just seem like weird thinking for a man who then continue to live lavishly of taxpayers

Paul Ryan is from the Jack Kemp school of thinking. He is not an extreme right winger but them Tea Party folks putting a lot of pressure on him to support their agendas.
