Marvel set the standard for realistic superheroes in the comic books and then in the movies.....it seems now DC is fighting back.

Hopefully better than the rest o DC's fare. I think DC takes itself too seriously in the movies while Marvel acknowledges that its based on far out material with men in tights so some levity is needed.
All Marvel had to do was stick to the excellent comic book plots and origins created by Stan Lee,Jack Kirby, Roy Thomas and others.
DC's ones were childish for the screen so they had to reconstruct.

After the absolute disasters that were Suicide Squad and Superman vs Batman, I'm just hoping Justice League doesn't suck.
Wonder Woman's trailer look great tho.

Not one marvel film was half as good as the Dark Knight series. Not one.

Fus two was good.Batman Begins and The Dark Knight but the last of trilogy was not up deh wit de others.
When it comes to comic adaptations, I wonder if the producers are in love with the belief that *DARK&EDGY* == good.
The first Tobey McGuire Spidey film wasn't dark by any sense, but it was faithful to the source and a good film.
On the flip side Fox took the Fantastic Four and made the latest incarnation into an edgy abomination of a forgettable film.

maybe it should be "plausible" instead of realistic.
In Watchmen, you could believe that someone could turn out like Rorshach or the Comedian. Probably not Nite Owl, though.

Perhaps that is DC's issue. They are trying to make everything in the same 'dark' mould.
