If the selectors don't do something fast...we staring at yet another whitewash.
Let Walton and Lewis open again and put Carter at three....these stars Samuels,Pollard and Simmons have all not being playing recently..I would drop Pollard for either Carter and JMO....Pollard avg 21.60 after 51 matches with a highest score of 63.
Samuels was hard done today so I'll give him another chance.

Carter and JMO

Don't hit the panic switch yet. Carter and Mohammed are proper batsmen and they should play proper cricket. Not this rubbish

You are starting to sound like the other Monday morning quarterbacks on this board. Try this and then try that the other flavor of the month.Right now you can chop and change all you want without getting to the root of the problem. Just last week, the lament was the exclusion of the great Rovman Powell. Who is it going to be next week.Blame the selectors when all else fails.Lol

carter not in the 13man squad

all Im saying in a nutshell is that the form batsmen from the last ODI should at least be retained.
In reply to analyst-kid
NYCGURU's suggestion is to do nothing.
He thinks selection is pointless, any XI will do for him apparently

You really believe Carter and Mohammed are the answer to what ails our cricket? I guess Rovman was not the answer after all, who will it be next Ambris and then who. Then you wull be back to blaming the selectors.

For your information, i have been on this board for years and very rarely post comments. I find it commical that just last week people were killing the selectors over team selection. Now the so called stars returned and most were happy. Now we get embarrassed and we are now calling back for two players from the previous whitewash. It wont be long before some are calling for Sammy to return.

The "Stars" have not returned.
It still seemed a decent team on paper, which is why most people were quiet about selection, because we know Russell is banned, we know DJB is injured, but there were questions re Gayle's omission.
The empirical evidence seems to be pointing towards the fact that Sammy was a key ingredient in our T-20 teams success.
Nobody could really beat up the selectors other than the omission of Gayle and removal of Sammy as skipper.
Interesting stat, Sammy as skipper with Gayle in the team 19 W- 8L
Nothings wrong with now asking for some changes to be made based on what we've seen in the first T-20I, i think the issue is the lack of logic in some of the recent selections.
The selectors deserved to be cussed for the ODI selection of Carlos and not even giving Rovman a look in a dead rubber.
The selection of Simmons now also seems questionable since he hasn't played any cricket of note since August last year.
Carter has been in good form, he should have been considered for selection, since JMO is in the squad, he probably should have been selected, will probably make no difference to the results but would be nice to see some attempt to pick form players, especially on a team thats just been beaten soundly

I think the consensus was that he should have at the very least play the last game. Most people were in agreement on the composition of yesterday's team based on who was available. Why then after one game the rush to include Carter and Mohammed. The same Sammy who was most folks laughing stock is suddenly being missed because of his leadership.
In reply to NYCGURU
And even if the same people who were laughing at Sammy now seeing he may have value, whats that a sign of?
Other than the ability to reason, learn, evolve, adapt, change and improve, especially if the stats are an indication of his usefulness
Admirable qualities, nothing to be proud of in being wrong and strong
In reply to NYCGURU... HINDSIGHT.
