It is obviously the race of Champs 2017.
It was a tactical race. From the start the two Calabar athletes went out front, I would think with the intention of forcing the pace to take away the sting of Rodgers, make him use more energy at the start.
Then they had to take a break. They controlled th pace from the front. When Rodgers went through, he was challenged, again put under pressure. Then when he got rid of that challenge, at that point it seemed he had it then the second challenge came and he couldn't hold off that one.
He had been beaten before so why this one, brought out the passion?
This is what Champs is about.
