Also all the insinuations here that Jehovah’s Witnesses are hypocrites who say one thing and do otherwise.
Someone claimed that when under pressure Witnesses would break their loyalty to God! Very pointed explanation given as to why Jehovah's Witnesses are targeted!

The linked article tells how all of Russia is being oppressed - as bad as under the Soviets.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are simply the current target. It doesn't matter that these are peaceful people, doing nothing to harm anyone in any way. What matters to the Russian leadership is that they do not cow before the leader.
So, deem them "enemies of the state" and crush them as you see fit. A familiar method - becoming common again in the world's most powerful places.
