Dung heap level

That lineup is equivalent of the New York Yankees Murderors row. Deep and destructive that will put the fear of God in starting pitchers. Lol

Lots of potential and worth investing in
Carter
Hope
Lewis
Momammed
Powell and Walton quite possibly have passed their prime!
In reply to doosra
Lewis - enormous potential
Powell - maybe this series his last chance
Walton - never seen him bat
Mohammed - a short term solution
Carter - ditto
Hope - potentially a world class player
If Darren Bravo played it would look okay - at the moment very weak.
Always 'Ifs' with windies

Here are more relevant questions: Would you pay to see any of them bat? Or If you could get in free, would you go and see any of them bat?
In reply to bobby
NO to both questions
dats why ah not watching the arsekicking .

Most recent across all formats Int & FC level? So where are the THREE CENTURIES that K Powell scored in the recently concluded Super 50 tournament that you have conveniently left out? I see you have Shai Hope's centuries in there though? Its you that is inconsistent smh

Shitty

Look for it here..
That is old news... and even if you add in those past innings. wont change the fact that he went 7 consecutive innings without a respectable score to help his team out.
Recent scores (7 out of the 10 I posted being regional scores) are showing him for the chap he is. Inconsistent!
Any batsman counting himself international caliber should be shame to post those types of inconsistent numbers. Especially in the height of local cricket season.
Every other inning 40+ or there about is the Higher Standard!

Put up anot her post like this on Sunday
WHOA..........West Indies fans should have a little more patience for a good team is in the building process. The WICB is on the correct path. Just look at this victory and you will see potential .No need for the Gayles, Bravos,Pollards,Narines,Samuels, Badrees,Sammys and so on to win....as .....this victory was completed without those "so called hit and giggle " stars. When WI starts winning consistently these "stars" will become irrelevant to International cricket. Big cricket names like Peiterson, Akram,Dravid,Ponting ,Kallis,Lara,Sangakara, and Mc Callum were big in cricket but were never bigger than the game. They were replaced at some time or the other
Is this Doosra on Cricinfo?
In reply to matchstick
If you aren't too ashamed to do so, could you post the comparable scores for the "star pretenders" whom I assume you prefer to constitute the WI team. It might shock you.
In reply to bobby
I assume you prefer to watch your "flamboyant losers".
I will take this young promising side any day. At least there is an upside here
In reply to jijordon
"star pretenders" whom I assume you prefer
In that assumption you only succeeded in highlighting yourself an ASS.
For those who were satisfied with just one off performances...

Why is Jason Mohammed a short term option? At age 30, he has about 6 years left on average. What's short about that? Misbah Ul Haq is 42...

Arm Chair Analysts.
Once you hit 28 you too old.
In reply to matchstick
Based on comparative stats you presented, it would seem like JoMo should have been included long before now, although they are all very inconsistent.
Walton the only one with 3 centuries, while Hope has 1 century and a double century! Carter, Powell and Lewis yet to score centuries.
In reply to Slipfeeler
You said it!...
This is an disease in WI cricket.
Our batsmen need to recognize this and hold themselves to a higher standard... their fans too!
In reply to matchstick
As that famous former CC Poster with the oak tree analogy once said, the numbers do not lie.

Only those who don't know how to use them do!

28 , or 25 . they would replace you with a u19 player

Why is Shai at #6?
In reply to matchstick
Powell can't be counted on you got that right. One minute he's good one minute he's not. One day is cricket one day is baseball. Woman problems and all type
Of problems. Shai hope looks a better prospect and Lewis as well.
In reply to matchstick
correct is right!!
In reply to matchstick
Okay so you've made the discovery that ALL WI batsmen are inconsistent to an extent, some more than others.
Where do we go from there? Do you agree to pick the most consistent of the inconsistent?
In reply to WerlBoss
Wont get involved with that boss. Them men have personal lives to live too.
In reply to WerlBoss
You seem to feel you know a lot about Powell...very interesting. Be careful you don't end up with a defamation suit on your hands for typing through your ass. His wife is a well known British Lawyer and he is best friends with Marlon Samuels, who recently won a similar case but continue publishing defamatory remarks yes *smart move*

I wont take credit for 'discovery'. It is rather obvious.
I am giving all a means of easily evaluating players. (especially those fans who go out of their widths to try prove that their horse of the week should be a permanent fixture for the selectors)
The great thing for the players themselves is that this is inclusive of both levels of pro cricket. If you are decent you will find a way to get urself back with local cricket if you had a bad international tour.
If a player himself or coach or someone involved in helping these guys get better is reading this then awareness is the first step to improvement.
Btw. Kraigg Brathwaite meets this criteria and has shown himself as being capable of maintaining it. He needs to be back in the fold.
