Religion of peace strikes again.
ISIS has claimed responsibility after Egypt was rocked by two bomb blasts in churches in different areas of the country as worshippers celebrated Palm Sunday.
Around 30 worshippers are thought to have been killed and at least 78 injured after a bomb exploded inside a church in Tanta during a televised Palm Sunday service .
Then hours later a suicide bomber was said to have targeted a Coptic church in the northern city of Alexandria.
Eyewitnesses describe the scene as chaotic with people crying in the streets and ambulances rushing to the area - which has been closed off by police.Reports say 11 people have died - including a policeman who was believed to have tackled the bomber - at the Church of St Mark in the city, and 66 people have been injured.
Four of those who died are believed to be police officers.
Egyptian State Television said the explosion in front of the church in Alexandria was a suicide bombing.
Pope Tawadros, who had attended mass at St Mark's Cathedral, was still in the building at the time of the explosion but was not harmed, the Ministry of Interior said.Local reports say Egyptian security is working to dismantle a second bomb in the vicinity.
Thousands gathered outside the church in Tanta shortly after the blast, some wearing black, crying, and describing a scene of carnage."There was blood all over the floor and body parts scattered," said a Christian woman who was inside the church."There was a huge explosion in the hall. Fire and smoke filled the room and the injuries were extremely severe," another Christian woman, Vivian Fareeg, said.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail are set to visit the Tanta site on Sunday and Sisi has ordered an emergency national defence council meeting, state news reported.

In reply to djdrastic
Very sad. May the people who ferment and profit off this madness suffer in hell.
In reply to djdrastic
How many Muslims were killed in that US air strike in Syria - 21?
Over 300 Muslims were killed in Iraq by said airstrikes about three weeks ago - where were your posts.
all dead are dead.
The Egyptian President killed way more folks.
War is never one-sided.
In reply to Chrissy
And notice his language "Islamic Strike" you know this shit head is a hater or terribly brainwashed.

Really Chrissy? Yuh defending ISIS now?
In reply to Chrissy
So what happened in Stockholm was supposed to be an act of war?
In reply to Chrissy
All dead are dead...smh. so we should not show outrage when black christians are sluaghtered in their church by racist terrorists?
Yes it is ungortunate that muslims are being killed in our hunt for terrorists. Keep in mind that these same terrorists will slaughter even more in their quest for virgins.
In reply to nitro
Agreed.
Heaven is running low on virgins.
In reply to djdrastic
"This has nothing to do with religion. Islam is a religion of peace".
In reply to Emir
But these are islamic attacks Emir.It is carried out by an organization called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.A group that is murdering hundreds of thousands all around the world to instill fear and spread the message:Embrace Sunni islam or die.A group that aims to take us back into simpler 8th century times in the 21st century.
Just as an aside, let's just say 8th century Arab-islam wasn't exactly great friends to black people in those times.Instead of reading that caveman skydaddy book of yours so much , can I recommend a book ? The Legacy of Arab-Islam In Africa:A Quest for Inter-religious Dialogue. You might find some of the information rather startling.
And Chrissy , I ain't high fiving any of those attacks. All those attacks do is fan the flames of religious extremism.I'm pretty sure I commented in the Syrian thread and said it was not good for peace nor stability in the region.A lot of anti west sentiment would be removed from the that side of the world if the Americans packed their bags and fcuked off.
In reply to djdrastic
You are making out that the entire Muslim population is behind these attacks and is high fiving all over the Muslim world.I always like to point out, before the illegal invasion of Iraq and the killing of Sadam the world was a better place. We then had the European governments(mainly Christians)supporting rebels in Libya and Syria to overthrow the governments.IS created by the west to get rid of Assad,is now biting the same Europeans who helped them,we also have the puppet Saudis helping the Europeans in their stinking agenda, talk a bit about Yemen, let us hear what you gotta say.
The Muslim is a religion of peace just like, dare I say, Christianity.
How many innocent Muslims are being killed in parts of the Muslim world, all because of Western interference in their countries, that is a fact that you or no one can deny.
I am in no way condoning the savagery of IS and their followers, and if the rebels in Syria wasn't being heavily supplied by the west,Saudis and Israel, all because they wanted to get rid of Assad,we wouldn't have been in this situation today.
In reply to Chrissy
Where were you when Obama was bombing?
In reply to granite
No they are not. However, The entire muslim population follows a book that preaches to kill all khafirs. That is being passive aggressive. Do you see anyone coming out and condemning these attacks?
In reply to gvenkat
What is your opinion on how the BJP led Indian government is discriminating against muslims in India? What is your view of Swami Adityanath?
In reply to black
Not defending any crap killings -all dead are dead
In reply to nitro
Listen idiot, go read some history and get back to be about Christianity and slaughter.
All institutional religion is evil.
In reply to JahJah
What was what happened in Norway a few years ago>
What was what happened at that church in South Carolina - nice white Xtian young men.
Allyuh spare me - there is enough evil in most religions to share.
In reply to Chrissy
That doesn't answer my question.
When kids in Kingston or Georgetown get killed by nutters, will you be asking me the same shyte? Perhaps it will take Brian Lara being kidnapped and decapitated for you to stop this BS.
I don't give a shit about religion, because I am not religious. My eldest daughter's best friend is from Afghanistan and is religious. She comes to this house constantly. I'm not worried.
You are the one who brought up war.
Let me know if you can begin to even remotely answer the question I originally asked.
In reply to Runs
Read about him for yourself. Even the muslims in UP are praising him. So he must have done something right.
In reply to gvenkat
By denying people their livelihood, if that is your opinion of doing good.
In reply to gvenkat
The Bible has more violent passages than the Koran,You should study the Old Testament and even the New Testament, you probably just read the bits that fits your agenda, but have a go at the Bible.
In reply to Runs
If you are talking about illegal slaughter houses.. You are no different from pseudo-secular folks in India. If otherwise explain
these attacks are really sickening
not to take away from the sickness of these attacks but I don't see posters here report bombings by US and others in the region the same way e.g. Mosul attack which killed 200 civilians

In reply to cricketmygame
You mean like this and this ?
Your good friend Runs seems to have suffered a serious bout of amnesia as he posted in some of those threads
In reply to djdrastic
If only those ISIS fcukers knew how much sympathy they have in the West - from non-Muslims!
The irony of course being that these same bleeding hearts regressive liberals wouldn't last one day in the ISIS caliphate before they are beheaded or thrown off a tall building for being infidels.
In reply to djdrastic
Unlike you who have a well known agenda
In reply to SnoopDog
the West is the one who start all this BS
The middle east need strong leaders not democracy
don't know why they want to spread democracy.
In reply to SnoopDog
Mate you think they don't know ? How do you think these agendas gets pushed by liberal thinktanks ?
In reply to cricketmygame
Exactly,it's a clear indication that most of those who shed"crocodile tears"like SnoopDog and the rest are only driven by hate for Islam and its followers. That lot don't give a shit about anybody else, they are not objective in the least, they just want an opportunity to bang on about Islam, they in fact don't know anything about Islam or Christianity.
I myself don't know anything about religion and don't want to know, but I have a view that world is up against something that started with some countries and their foreign policies.I wonder if all the so called specialists who are willing and ready to pounce on Muslims the world over had words of wisdom about ETA,and the IRA in their day.I'll bet they would not have registered one word about those 2 terror groups.
In reply to Runs
Yes my agenda is for the truths to be revealed unlike you who lives in a world of deflect/deny and the playing the victim card
Mohamed was the master of victimhood.
In reply to granite
Halal Snackbar!
In reply to djdrastic
Dude you come on here daily posting Islamophobic topics. I know human beings are predisposed to show bias towards others who do not look, share or belief in same, but at least we can all try to somehow be fairminded and objective.
My origins are not from that part of the world but being a well read individual and student of history, it is hard for me to say religion alone is at play in the turmoil and bloodshed. It is the easiest scapegoat to feed sheeple however, to further other agendas. You seem to belong to such a group.
I do not condone any violence especially used against innocent people irrespective of race or religion or done under the guise of religion.
In reply to djdrastic
See what I mean about these idiots in the West who think they are being fair minded or even 'decent' when they say things like "it was the West that started all this BS".
Yes, it was Western imperialism which caused a third rate dictator in the form of the Ayatollah Khomenini to put a death warrant over the head of a novelist for writing a fictional novel. It was western imperialism which cause the Kouchi brothers to murder the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists because they drew cartoons of Mohammed. It was western imperialism which cause Mohammed Bouyeri to murder Theo Van Gogh in broad daylight because he made a documentary. It was western imperialism which cause mobs of Muslims to burn down embassies in 2007 because the Danish government refused to censor their own press and suppress the publishing of the Danish cartoons of Mohammed. It's western imperialism which has caused the murder of Bangladeshi apostates and secular bloggers by Muslim radicals.
This is what ISIS is fight for. Not the fcuking war in Syria or the Palestinian problem.
In reply to Runs
But religion is a big fcuking part of the problem.
Let's put it another way. Take away the religion aspect of these attacks in the West.
Ask yourself who the attackers are, where they were born, and what their grievances are?
In reply to SnoopDog
Religion is being used by the zealots to further their agendas. Please go and do some research on the individuals who have been using it to justify their agendas. It is a powerful tool when used cunningly as we all can clearly see.
Every group are using it conveniently, from the doomsdayers or better known as the 72 virgin believers, to the power hungry, to the one's who feel betrayed and trodded upon etc.
It is a complex potpourri that cannot be solved by violence as the old adage goes, " violence begets violence. " It will take wisdom and diplomacy to solve.
In reply to Runs
See, you get it. The problem is religious. We have here a situation where groups of Muslims in different parts of the world are of the view that Islam is incompatible with western secular values and society. They want religious laws, in this case Sharia, to be the law of the land. They want women to have little to no rights. In their caliphate there is no tolerance for atheists, gays, non-Muslims, pork chops etc.
Their solution to the problem is to conduct holy jihad. Of course the wars in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan have provided fueled and fodder for their grievances but make no mistake about it, they are fighting for their version of the ideal society and they want it everywhere.
In reply to SnoopDog
You are looking at the issue from a single perspective dude. It is much more complex than that, political, socio-economic etc.
Not every muslim wants what you are implying but that is the narrative being portrayed by some so I am not surprised you and many others decided to follow such, it is very easy to do instead of looking more deeply into the issues.
It is complicated.
In reply to Runs
Explain to me what political and socio-economic reasons were behind the Charlie Hebdo attacks, the 07 London attacks, Salman Rushdie, Theo Van Gogh, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the death warrant over her head, the San Bernadino attack, the Orlando night club attack.
Because clearly "all of this had nothing to do with religion".
In reply to SnoopDog
Do some research on the individuals who carried out those attacks under the " guise" of religion. There is a clue in there.
In reply to Runs
Show me where I have written that EVERY Muslim wants what I'm implying.
It's this dishonesty from so-called moderate Muslims that has given rise to right wing bigots and Trumpers. Any reference to religion or Muslims as being the problem you take it personally as a slight on all Muslims.
I'm waiting for "Islamophobia" to pop up any minute now.
In reply to Runs
You're the one making the assertion that religion is just a ruse. It's your own argument to prove not mine Bro.
In reply to SnoopDog
Human beings have been using "religion" to further their agendas ever since dude, do not blame the religion or religions for their misguided justifications. All I am saying is it is being used by some as we can all see. As I said before please do some homework on the groups and individuals who are doing this, you will be surprised. You seem stuck on your interpretation of the religion.
Have a great rest of the day bro.
In reply to Runs
You come up with such a lame ass argument Bro?
Religion is the problem. In this case it's Islam, or one version of it anyways. ISIS, the Kouchi brothers, Mohammed Bouyeri are all literally following the version of Islam which says you must conduct war on infidels who blasphemy the prophet or Islam, you must punish apostates by pain of death, Shara is supreme to any man made secular laws etc.
In reply to SnoopDog
You are a lazy guy, do some reading
You are eating up the fodder being spread. Try and be objective and look at it without tunnel vision. It may appear clearer, as I said it is complicated and many sheeple are drinking the religious cool aid er narrative.
In reply to Runs
You can't even prove your own argument.
I'm still waiting for you to explain to me what political and socio-economic reasons were behind the Charlie Hebdo attacks, the 07 London attacks, Salman Rushdie, Theo Van Gogh, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the death warrant over her head, the San Bernadino attack, the Orlando night club attack.
Come on Einstein, we're waiting.
In reply to Runs
I merely state the facts. You, and other Muslims, are too busy being offended instead of acknowledging that the problem is a religious one and opening a dialogue within your communities to figure out a solution. I think a reformation in Islam is sorely needed to sort this problem out.
In reply to SnoopDog
Why should I think for you, I already told you what to do. Obviously you are convinced that your thoughts about the issues are correct.
By the way idiots are a dime a dozen and useful to propogate certain agendas. The most high did not make all of us smart.
In reply to Runs
No you haven't. All you stated was that religion is just an excuse for terrorism and that there are other causes like political and socio-economic without actually stating how as it relates to actual terrorist attacks.
Fact is, you don't have an argument. Just admit it and move on.
In reply to SnoopDog
I will repeat again for the umpteenth time, go do some research on the individuals and groups who carried out the violent acts that you mentioned. Damn bro I am not the one tooting my horn here.
In reply to Runs
Facts are facts Bro. When the terrorists yells out "Allah Akbar" before he blows himself up it's pretty much certain he's not a Buddhist and he's not avenging for all the fat Buddha statues in souvenir stores.
In reply to Runs
Tell us Einstein! We are the stupid ones and you're the one with the big brain.
Reveal this hereto unknown mystery as to why ISIS wants a caliphate, why drawing a cartoon of Mohammed will get you killed in France or Denmark, why novelists, apostates, and film makers have death warrants over their heads!
In reply to SnoopDog
Too complicated for you
In reply to Runs
Well if it's too complicated for poor old me, then perhaps it won't be for others here.
So come on. Reveal this thesis of yours. For the benefit of all mankind if you will.
In reply to Runs
"We have avenged the prophet mohammed"
Not "we have avenged the children of Syria, or the children of Palestine, or the children of Afghanistan, or the children of Iraq, or the children of the holocaust, or the children of the Native American peoples".
But you are suppose to believe it has nothing at all to do with religion.
In reply to SnoopDog
If you join his super chill religion I'm sure he will tell you
In reply to djdrastic
Ahhh, it's a members only secret.
Read up on the issues guys, educate yourselves.
They have some excellent books out there.

Am having fun with you guys it's been awhile
Got a lil break from work today, I can see my fans are quick to acknowledge my presence.
DJ please do not forget to thank me when you reach triple figures.
In reply to gvenkat
The terrorists have in one instance literally yelled out that they are avenging their prophet but we are asked to believe that the attack had nothing to do with religion.
In reply to Runs
If we are fans. You are the fanatic
In reply to SnoopDog
Oh fack..
In reply to gvenkat
Ok fatso
but what about you?
A cow fanatic
